I use PayPal for my spending, which I withdraw in USD here in the States.

Since my income is significantly higher than what I actually need to spend, I end up
setting a larger portion aside, and I decided to keep those savings in USD.

It’s a quick trip to a small town in Ohio for me, 12 miles and I honestly don't mind heading out once or twice a month to use these
five PayPal cards to pull my cash. (I have five right now, but if I needed more, I'd grab them—they're easy enough to get,
unlike PayPal's options). Plus, a huge perk is that you can transfer funds between them for free).

That alone is plenty of reason for me to favor PayPal over PayPal, even if people think it's unreliable.

Alexander Kern6 said:It depends on whether you're an amateur or a pro.
For amateurs withdrawing funds once or twice a month, maybe PayPal is fine—assuming you can even withdraw USD. But if you're playing seriously, PayPal is five times better.
I’ve used both. I actually tried switching from PayPal to Neteller because I assumed it would be better, but within two months, I went right back to PayPal. Daily withdrawals on Neteller were eating my bank account alive.
Just look at the math on $5,000. If you're withdrawing in Canada in USD, you’re doing seven transactions of about $700 each, which puts you at $28 in fees with Neteller. Or, if you're withdrawing in USD back home, you'll do those same 7 or 8 transactions of roughly $700.
Instead of getting your full amount, you'll end up with less after the exchange rate hits and then you subtract that $28 fee again.
With PayPal, if you aren't a VIP in Canada, you're doing 20 transactions of $250, costing you $36. However, if you have VIP status, it costs you nothing.
The gap is even wider in the States. You take that $5,000, deal with the conversion, pay that $36 fee if you aren't a VIP, or pay zero if you are.
So, tell me again how Neteller is better.

I don't follow your logic at all.

Neteller:
Withdraw $5,250 in Canada via 7x$750 transactions.
Cost is 7x$4 = $28.
I head back to the US with $5,222.

PayPal:
Withdraw $5,250 via 21x$250 transactions.
Cost is 21x$1.8 = $37.8.
I head back to the US with $5,212.2.

Is $5,222 really that much different from $5,212?

What's worse is that with PayPal, I have to make 21 trips to the bank instead of just 7 with Neteller.
And why on earth would I bother converting USD at those rates anyway?

PayPal offers a lower margin when you're withdrawing cash from an ATM.
For 750 USD, they charge 4 USD, whereas PayPal charges 1.8 USD per 250—which works out to 5.4 USD total.
It’s definitely the better deal if you're pulling USD, say, while visiting Canada.

If you select "non-gambling," they won't let you deposit to the sportsbook. You could always try sending money to a different PayPal account instead, which should bypass the issue (meaning you'd need two or more PayPal accounts on hand).

What else would you expect? You don't need anything to make a deposit.
Nothing has changed since I opened my first account back in 2011, up through when I opened my last one in 2013.
I don't bother opening more anymore because they just end up limiting me almost immediately anyway.

Morgan Hill84 said:Question regarding Betway. Two months ago, they mailed me a verification code so I can actually withdraw my money, but the letter never showed up. Does anyone know if it’s possible to fully activate an account without that physical code, or maybe work something out with them? I'm calling support this afternoon, so if anyone has dealt with something similar, let me know.

I doubt they even send those codes anymore. In my experience, they always verify accounts using a photo ID or by just going to Settings > Profile > Identity Verification > Enter SSN.

Chris Nguyen31 said:William limited me for the first time recently, so I decided to try a different approach.
Basically, I opened 6 new accounts with them (since I have 6 Neteller accounts at the moment) and I just rotate through them daily. Naturally, I switch my IP and clear my cookies every single time. It’s working so far, though it's only been about ten days. I wouldn't dare predict how much longer this will hold up.
What are your bets? Anyone want to place some action?🙂

Just to confirm, all my accounts are still fully functional even after three months.

Regarding limits, Bet365 and WH tolerated me without restrictions for the longest—over two years, even with winnings totaling just a few dozen bucks. Now, Bet365 hits my new accounts with limits within a matter of days, so I’ve given up on them.
William limited me recently for the first time, so I decided to try a new tactic there.
Specifically, I opened six new accounts with them (matching the number of Neteller accounts I currently hold) and I rotate through them daily, naturally switching my IP address and clearing my cookies. It’s working so far, though it’s only been about ten days. I wouldn't dare predict how long this will last.
What are your predictions? Should we place a bet?🙂

Has anyone tried withdrawing cash using a Neteller card from an ATM in Canada? I'm curious about what kind of fees they're hitting you with.

Aaron Barnes3 said:- Just load a small amount via Venmo or something similar into your DraftKings account, then pull the whole balance out. Use their Mastercard to grab the cash.

That won't fly with them. Here’s how it actually works:

"Where possible, all withdrawals will be processed to the payment account from which the deposits have been made. If you have funded your account using multiple payment types, we are required to process your withdrawal request proportionally between the methods you have used to deposit with."

Sean Flores27 said:So if the rate is 7.61 (what's currently listed on their site) and they tack on a 3.99% fee (they add 3.99% for transfers between USD, GBP, EUR, CAD, PLN, and any other currency), does that mean I'd be getting $7.31 at the ATM?

Not quite.
I pulled some cash from a Chase ATM the day before yesterday. Do the math based on this rate:

Lawrence Anderson4 said:I realize they aren't required to do this, I just need the corrections (I was supposed to provide my ID plus some utility bill under my own name when I signed up, not just an ID). My parents live out in the sticks, they're old, and I don't even want to bring this up to them because they think everything on the internet is a scam. My brother has his own account... my girlfriend doesn't trust it either; she thinks the whole thing is a fraud and just a dishonest way to make money or an addiction 🙂

PayPal asks for electricity or water bills for address verification, but for Venmo, an ID is all you need.

Lawrence Anderson4 said:Right, thanks for the heads up. If that's the case, I won't even bother trying. I actually need someone to set up a William Hill account and a PayPal. Or maybe you have a better, simpler idea? 🤷

You don't need a middleman for that. Just get a copy of their ID and open the accounts yourself.
What, don't you have parents, siblings, a wife, kids, or a mistress lying around? 🙂?

Lawrence Anderson4 said:PS. @Chris Nguyen31/">@@Chris Nguyen31 If I find someone willing to open a William Hill account in their own name, would I need to set up a new PayPal or Venmo? Or could I just transfer funds from my existing PayPal account to the William Hill account? I'm asking because I'm not sure if William Hill can see that my current PayPal is already "linked" to my suspended account.

Yes. The names on the WH account and the PayPal/Venmo must match perfectly.

Terry Rogers2 said:I don't use ATMs here in the States, so I couldn't care less about that. Withdrawal fees on PayPal are 1.80 USD, and as a Bronze VIP, you can pull out 250 USD per 24 hours. On Neteller, you can take out 750 USD per 24 hours, but you're paying 4 USD in fees.
3*250 = 750
3*1.8 = 5.4
So the withdrawal fees actually end up being higher with PayPal.

Bronze VIP on PayPal doesn't pay withdrawal fees. You should know that, considering you're VIP too.

Terry Rogers2 said:Since the ownership change a few months back, PayPal has tweaked its policy slightly. I’ve held VIP status on both PayPal and Neteller for years, back before everything became this complicated.
My stance hasn't changed: Neteller remains the better bet for the average user.

If you're withdrawing cash from ATMs (in the US using USD) while holding accounts in USD, PayPal actually wins out because their conversion rates are more favorable than Neteller's. Plus, as a Bronze VIP on PayPal, I don't get hit with withdrawal fees, whereas Neteller still charges me $4.

Christian Hernandez11 said:Go ahead, tell the IRS your little story and list those three reasons. Then you'll finally understand what the word "benefit" actually means.
You could give those same three excuses to a dealer at a casino or a construction worker getting paid under the table. You think it's smart to assume they won't get penalized?
The common denominator here is that nobody wants to pay taxes on their income.

You’re mixing up apples and oranges. Why would the US care if I'm making cash under the table in Germany and bringing that USD back home?

Taxes are paid where the income is earned. If that happens abroad, why on earth would I be paying taxes in America?
Best offshore sportsbooks for online betting? in Betting Forum ·
I have no idea what you find so foolish about this. What part of what I wrote is untrue?

I can't speak for Austria, but here in Germany, betting with foreign bookmakers is strictly prohibited. Even though they are one of the leading nations in the European Union, they refuse to follow EU regulations just to protect their own national Powerball monopoly.

I don't see any issue with making money through international sportsbooks, because even if I'm not paying specific taxes
on those winnings, my actions benefit everyone here in the US.

1. My family and I benefit because we live comfortably. Without this, I’d likely be unemployed and probably relying on welfare.
2. The American economy and local manufacturers benefit because I spend my money on their products, supporting their operations.
3. The government benefits because they collect sales tax on every single thing I buy.
...and so on.
Wouldn't it be absurd to penalize me for that?

Lawrence Anderson4 said:Hi.

I have a problem, so I’m hoping I’ve come to the right place by opening this thread.
Here’s the deal...

I had an account with William Hill for about a year before they suddenly suspended me without any real explanation. I reached out via chat and email to ask why, and their only response was some vague nonsense about violating the Terms of Use.

I am still convinced I didn't do anything significant enough to warrant an account suspension.

So now, does anyone have an idea how I can set up a new account? Obviously, I can't use my own name anymore.

Also, if anyone is willing to create an account in their own name for me to use, I'm happy to pay a fee for that.

Any help or advice is appreciated. 🤷

Just open a new account under a family member or a friend's name. You just need to scan their ID to open and verify the sportsbook account. Do the same for PayPal—it’s faster and easier to set up than Venmo, and you can transfer funds between accounts for free.
