bluecanyon68 said:I was just hoping for a simple answer to a question. I’m pretty much a novice when it comes to this stuff, so any help would be greatly appreciated. Is it actually possible to withdraw winnings from DraftKings directly onto an American USD prepaid VISA card—assuming, of course, they handle the currency conversion on their end? Thanks in advance for the help.

I don't have a definitive answer for you since I don't run an account with DraftKings myself—but, looking at my own experience, I've withdrawn funds from two different sportsbooks straight to my domestic AT&T VISA and everything went through without a hitch (I use JP Morgan Chase). If you really want to play it safe and ensure those withdrawals land smoothly, my advice is to grab a foreign currency VISA card instead. It works 100% of the time—plus, if you plan on making frequent withdrawals, you'll actually save some money that way, since bank exchange rates can be pretty brutal!

It feels like if you actually want to get serious about betting, your only real options are those big Asian books—you know, the ones like DraftKings or BetMGM—and then there's FanDuel. But honestly? It’s such a massive headache because they don't offer settlements quickly enough, and their league coverage is pretty hit-or-miss compared to what you really need.
I honestly have no idea what the vibe is like over in Germany—whether they prefer using BetRivers, Betway, Bet365, or 10bet... 🤷

They’re actually worse than the Brits, believe me. Honestly, 10bet is hands down the most unprofessional sportsbook I have ever encountered. They have this "max bet" option you can select—which sounds great on paper—but then the second you try to place a wager for, say, half that amount, they just sit there spinning the payment for forty seconds. Then, out of nowhere, you get this notification saying "odds have changed." It’s incredibly shady—it feels like some trader is literally watching what you want to put down, waiting for you to commit, and then slashing the odds right under your nose just to say, "too bad, take it or leave it."

I was playing a live game back when I was trying to clear a bonus, and I hit this frustrating moment—I had a basketball over bet that just sat there spinning for a solid 120 seconds. Then, right as the play goes my way—like, two three-pointers drop back-to-back—the system just hits me with a message saying "odds have changed." It’s such a killer feeling when everything lines up perfectly, only for the site to pull the rug out from under you at the last second.

To put it bluntly—this sportsbook is basically built for people who only know how to lose. The second you actually manage to pull in a decent profit—say, $300 or $400—that’s when the headaches start!

If you don't take the initiative, they’ll eventually come knocking—usually right when you try to withdraw your first payout. Honestly, it’s much better if you just send them an email ahead of time letting them know you want to get your account verified; that way, you can just sit back and wait for their specific instructions to hit your inbox!

rapidfalcon15 said:Hey, so because of this whole new legislative update, I’m switching over to online betting—which makes sense—but I’m curious about the withdrawal process. When I go to pull my money out, what kind of documentation are they actually going to ask for? My main worry is whether they'll demand utility bills (like electricity or water) to prove where I live. The thing is, those bills aren't in my name—they're still under my dad's name. I have my driver's license, obviously, but I want to know what else they require for verification so I don't end up stressing over some random bill or other nonsense that I can't provide.

A bank statement showing you own the account or a residency confirmation from the FBI works for everyone!

😁 Don't sweat it—I’m well aware of how they use things like IESnare, CCleaner, and all those other tricks to track you down. Honestly, they've never managed to shut one of my accounts before I successfully cashed out 🙄 but even if you manage to get your money, it feels like a hollow victory because they just hit you with those tiny limits...

silverridge3 said:Isn't Bet365 the top choice?
Personally, when looking at the interface and the depth of the markets (at least for what I usually bet on), I’d say Betcity is great, followed closely by Marathon. You can find pretty much any league imaginable through those two. If you combine them with Bet365, you've basically got 99% of what most players would ever need.
That said, dealing with account limitations is an entirely different headache altogether...

I was actually thinking about the big retail sportsbooks with physical locations—so yeah, you're spot on there.

Bet365 controls about 20% of the USA market, while William Hill and Paddy each hold around 15%! Sure, Betcity and Marathon have fantastic variety, but once you hit a wall where they shut down 7 or 8 of your accounts in just a few months, you eventually just call it quits. 😢

silverridge3 said:Can someone explain how this betting works?
I keep getting limited at Marathon, Betcity, and occasionally at Bet365.
I mostly play basketball over/unders or player props—stuff you don't see at the big non-limiting books like Pinnacle or Sbobet.
How's the limit situation over at William Hill?

Look, Paddy is basically your second strongest option in the USA; your top choice would be Willhill. Both are fantastic when it comes to variety, and honestly, if you're keeping your bets under $50, I think you can go quite a while without hitting any limits! Just a word of advice—don't get too greedy if they make a mistake. If you capitalize on an error like that, they’ll shut you down 100% immediately. As for me, they actually closed my account at Paddy just last month—they hadn't updated their odds after some boba training sessions in Sochi, so I managed to make a killing. 😁

I mean, despite all the headaches we deal with regarding our local sportsbooks (before this new legislation kicks in—which, fingers crossed, happens ASAP), if I try to play smaller stakes, using offshore sites just doesn't pay off. They shave off $15 from every other withdrawal—honestly, no thanks.
It’s making me think more and more that betting without a solid $10k bankroll just isn't worth the hassle.

Look, whenever you withdraw funds to something like Skrill, that service takes a 3% cut from the sportsbook—it's just how it works. Of course, the books don't want you withdrawing daily; they don't have physical cash windows at a local corner shop like some big US chains where transactions cost them nothing. Personally, I don't see it as a huge issue because I can just plan ahead. Withdrawing every single day is only necessary if you're living paycheck to paycheck—but if that's the case, you're gambling with money you shouldn't be touching in the first place!

I know it might sound a bit blunt, but everyone I know who made the jump to online betting doesn't mind waiting until once a month to pull their funds out...

That’s true. But honestly—with the way I play—you wouldn't even make it a full month before they hit you with limits on any of those sites 😢

silenthawk242 said:So, looking at these overseas sites, I don't see any option to combine player shot counts with other stats like we have back home. Also, does anyone know how Pinnacle handles payouts? How long does it actually take for the money to hit your bank account?

Unfortunately, it's just not an option there. That first payout takes a bit because they have to verify your ID and everything—once that's out of the way, you're usually looking at about 15 to 30 minutes. They give you one free withdrawal per calendar month, but after that, they hit you with a $15 fee for every single one. You really have to plan ahead with that. As for the NBA lines, they stay pretty tight between 1.95 and 1.95, and you can't leave bets unsettled...

silenthawk242 said:I need all those features to be there—especially the ability to bundle bets together. That kind of flexibility is a dealbreaker for me. It’s like how you can mix and match everything on DraftKings or FanDuel.

Look, Pinnacle is basically a no-brainer—the odds are easily 10% better than what you'll find elsewhere! The only real downside is they don't offer player prop counts. Honestly, most major sportsbooks don't even have that level of detail like we see locally—even Bet365 doesn't offer that much depth, and you can't even parlay them with totals or moneylines; you're pretty much stuck with singles.

silenthawk242 said:Hey everyone—which online sportsbook would you recommend for betting on the NBA?

What specifically regarding the NBA are we talking about here? Are you looking at moneyline winners, over/unders on total points, or maybe player props?

steelpilot29 said:Alright, now that I’m done playing the intellectual... here’s the actual reason I'm posting. ☕

Has anyone here actually used those "betting brokers"? I've had a few recommendations floating around, but I’m still feeling pretty skeptical—honestly, their business models don't quite click for me, especially when it comes to how sustainable they really are.

Here is a list of the big names.

What I’m mainly wondering—if anyone has the insight—is how they handle parlays? Or is this stuff strictly useful if you're playing high-stakes moneyline or spreads?

Feel free to shoot me a DM if you know the deal.

Look, you're still going to have to log into your own sportsbook accounts anyway. Their business model is basically the same as mine—just on a much smaller scale. For example, if someone signs up for Pinnacle through my link, I handle their deposits and withdrawals via something like PayPal without charging a fee. Why? Because I grab about 0.1% of all their deposits, regardless of whether they win or lose.

These firms essentially pool together the limits they have with (mostly) Asian sportsbooks, which allows you to get much higher betting limits—though the odds can fluctuate, sometimes better, sometimes worse. Since they take a tiny 0.1-0.2% cut of your deposit, it's worth it for them to be available by phone, even if you're calling them at 3:00 AM!

The bottom line is this: if you're hitting the limits on sites like Pinnacle for things like soccer, they are definitely worth it. But for other niche sports—say, handball—you aren't really getting any real benefit from them...

Sean Vaughn35 said:Hey everyone—quick question. Is there an online sportsbook out there that’s a bit slower when updating goals or other live betting elements? I’m looking for just enough of a window to get a bet in—say, a first goalscorer bet—before they lock the action. I know it sounds like a long shot, but I’m pretty quick with my hands. For instance, I’ve noticed Caesars Sportsbook tends to be about 10 seconds behind DraftKings on average, though I guess it really depends on the specific match and where you're playing from. Cheers!

BetMGM can definitely lag sometimes, but you have to realize that trying to exploit that delay is basically a losing game. Every time you attempt to snag one of those delayed bets and it doesn't clear, you end up popping up on the trader's "rejected bets monitor"—and trust me, that is the fastest way to get your account limited. Plenty of people try this tactic, but honestly, it's hard to build any real long-term profit by chasing those split seconds...

Terry Rogers2 said:😁 When did they add those?
I haven't messed with them in a while—do they still hit you with those fast limits?
Arbitrage hunters😁 offer great limits right out of the gate, but unfortunately, they don't last very long.
As far as payouts go, honestly, even Penn National Gaming can hold its own against them.

They move at lightning speed. Just place a few singles or parlays where you're grabbing the best odds on the market—doesn't even have to be an arb, by the way—and boom: you're capped at 5%. It doesn't even matter if you're up or down with them. For certain sports, like the NBA, their limits actually stay pretty high even after they slash your account limits, but for tennis, basketball, or handball? You're basically dead in the water...

how is someone supposed to navigate this landscape when we already know those offshore online sportsbooks love to aggressively limit their players?

I mean, what’s the move if a bookie won't even let you deposit more than $100?

Look, not every sportsbook handles things the same way. They don't all jump on you at once, and they certainly don't drop your limits to rock bottom immediately. And hey, if everything else goes south, you've always got Pinnacle—they don't limit anyone, so you don't have to sweat that part...

They've capped me at $1.88—what an absolute joke of a sportsbook.

It’s probably because:
a) you're hunting sure bets
b) you're constantly chasing the best market odds

The majority of players in America fall into category A or B, which is why DraftKings likely slapped an automatic limit on all new accounts from the US—capping them at about 10% of what they should be. Honestly, someone put it perfectly once: they just aren't looking to bring in too many players from the States.

If you play max bets on things that aren't even sure bets—or don't necessarily hunt for the absolute highest line on the market—you can definitely bump that limit up. But let's be real, at the end of the day, it all comes down to how much of a winner you actually are...
