If memory serves, JPMorgan Chase had a limit $0.70 and they don't even bother asking which rate you want at the ATM. They just force their own conversion on you and tuck away a hefty commission

Hmm. So how am I supposed to avoid an ATM that hits me with a fee if some ask and others don't? 🤷
I won't be pulling out huge amounts, but still...

Just the other day, I pulled some cash out of a JPMorgan Chase ATM, so you can run the numbers yourselves:

Right, so that 3.99% rate only applies during internal transfers. Great news. 🙂 I’m with Bank of America, but I assume the difference is negligible, aside from whatever decimals they decide to shave off.
Thanks for the assist 👍

Just be careful about which options you select when using an ATM. For heaven's sake, never accept the bank's offered conversion rate—those things can balloon up to 7.0x or 7.1x.

The whole comparison between Skrill and a standard US bank account or credit card really depends on the specific bank, the transaction amounts, your Skrill tier, and so on. In my experience, the bank ends up being slightly more favorable, but I personally prefer avoiding them entirely.

The money in a betting account isn't exactly hard-earned cash, so why hand over more than necessary? And if you're heading into a branch to ask for advice, just remember: most tellers at big banks like Chase or Wells Fargo don't have a clue what they're talking about. I've learned that lesson a thousand times over.

So, if the rate is 7.61 (which is what's currently listed on their site), and they tack on that 3.99% fee (the one they use for transfers between USD, GBP, EUR, CAD, PLN, etc.), does that mean I'd actually be getting 7.31 per dollar at the ATM?
