Postpartum uterine prolapse: What to expect? in Women's Health ·
Laura Gomez31 said:Kate Fisher77, you absolutely ripped my heart out! 😍

Anna, I really hope I nailed it! 😉 I’m done watching this crap. I'm not sitting around waiting anymore. Once that six-week mark hits and the bleeding finally stops, I'm heading straight to Ginić's.

Hey babe, how are you holding up? Honestly, I’ve been a total mess lately. It’s just one thing after another, you know? And the absolute worst part is having to deal with all that period crap and hormone madness on top of everything else... it's brutal. I was actually starting to freak out thinking I was sliding straight into the baby blues, too. Just a complete disaster.
Thank God, things are finally looking up...
I’m crossing my fingers that everything works out for you!😍

Amanda White82 said:Look, I wasn't just talking to hear myself talk. I went to Ivana because everyone keeps telling her it’s impossible, and honestly, I wouldn't say anything if it weren't serious. This lady actually told me personally—she said her cervix was literally poking out, she had to lift up her couch just to deal with it. I really hope that's not what's happening with Ivana, but hey, it happens.

Anyway, here's a real-life example for you......
- Gave birth Oct 5, 2010. Baby was a chunky one, 7.7 lbs and 19.7 inches.
- About 10 days postpartum, my fever spiked to like 103 or 104 degrees because of some retained placenta (though we didn't realize that was the cause at first...)
- Then, around day 14 to 20, I was cleaning up after using the bathroom and felt something weird. Like, I felt this lump, a bubble, a mass... whatever. I looked in the mirror and yeah, there was something to see. That lump was definitely there and everything felt totally different down there than before.
- I went to see my OB-GYN, Dr. Miller, and he checked me out... told me to cough, and then confirmed it: uterine prolapse. What I was seeing was just the lower part of my cervix protruding and dropping down.😳
- His advice? Kegels. He told me to wait about 9 months and said it's super likely things could snap back to normal, especially since he mentioned I'm probably genetically predisposed to this because of my connective tissue.
- So, I didn't have much choice but to start those Kegels... though let's be real, I wasn't doing them every single day, just whenever I remembered.
- After about two months, I started feeling like things were actually improving. That heavy sensation—like I always had a thick pad or a tampon stuck inside me—started fading. I kept doing the exercises once in a while and the feeling went away more and more. Of course, I also made sure not to lift anything heavy, nothing over 22 lbs. My husband did all the heavy lifting, obviously. 😍
- When the baby was about 8.5 months old, I went back for a checkup. Dr. Miller told me everything was back to normal. He said this is pretty common and you just have to give your body time to reset, provided you actually help it along.
- His parting advice: keep up with the Kegels so you don't end up dealing with bladder issues or incontinence later on.

So listen, honey, it's way too early for you to be panicking. But if it's really bothering you, go see a doctor you actually trust, like Dr. Miller, so they can tell you what's actually going on. Though, honestly? I bet they'll tell you the exact same thing they told me.😉
