I’ve already spent quite a bit of time scouring Google for everything there is to know about gonorrhea and its symptoms—so, thank you anyway—but 🙏 I haven't noticed anything out of the ordinary personally. Still, one can never be too certain, right? I suppose all I can do now is wait for my period to wrap up before heading straight to my OB-GYN to explain the situation.
I’m just checking in to say I hope everything works out—fingers crossed for a good outcome. Honestly, I never imagined I’d find myself in a situation like this; I’ve never been the type to jump from partner to partner, and I truly trusted my ex. He was my first real relationship—everything from that first night together to all the milestones—but I suppose we sometimes realize someone's true colors a little too late. Thank you so much again, truly. 🙂
Sophia Wells72, thank you so much—this really helps settle my nerves, especially since my ex’s story felt just as sketchy to me. I'm just going to wait for my period to end and then head straight to my gynecologist. This whole situation has been such an emotional rollercoaster, but I've definitely learned my lesson—I am never, ever risking unprotected sex again.
I know I can't be 100% certain about his health—it's hard to say for sure—but I trust him; why would he lie when things have already reached this point? As for my ex, he just turned it around on me and claimed I was the one who passed it to him, barely even admitting it was gonorrhea. It’s obvious someone is lying here—and honestly, it feels more like my ex is the one being dishonest—which leaves me feeling completely confused and, frankly, pretty scared. Personally, I'd head straight to my gynecologist tomorrow to explain everything, though does it even make sense to go while I'm still on my period?
I’m feeling incredibly anxious right now. Here is my situation: I’ve been with my boyfriend for seven months, but I did cheat on him about two weeks ago with an ex—it was just physical, and while I know I shouldn't have done it, what's done is done. Now, my ex has cornered me, claiming I gave him gonorrhea. I honestly don't understand how that's even possible, since I’ve only been with my current boyfriend for the last seven months—and I truly believe he is completely healthy. Since nothing made sense, I asked my boyfriend if he had been unfaithful, but he insists he hasn't. So, I'm struggling to wrap my head around how I could be infected—if I even am—in the first place. I realize you can't give me a diagnosis, but since I'm currently dealing with my period, I can't get into a gynecologist's office immediately... so I was hoping to hear some perspectives here just to calm my nerves a bit. Has anyone else dealt with this? I read that penicillin is used for treatment, but what happens if someone is allergic to it? How long does the recovery actually take? Also, is it possible to contract this through other means, or is it strictly sexually transmitted? And how exactly do they test for it? Thank you.
