All the Beautiful Worlds...

'Smiliti AT you' — the "Angry demo"... just one of those tracks that makes you wonder what was happening behind the scenes back then—probably more drama than a soap opera... How Stevie Nicks sounds when she’s actually pissed... 😈)

...and for me, the absolute favorite: 😍
Beauty and the Beast...

Oh yeah, those are all great tracks. Those demos are absolute hidden gems—real treasures... she’s got so many of them lying around that she could easily drop an entire album of unreleased material if she actually felt like it...

So, what's your take on the new Fleetwood Mac EP?

It’s a bit of a shame that there’s only one Stevie Nicks track up there—but honestly, it doesn't even bother me that much since Lindsey Buckingham really held his own... I mean, I've always been a huge fan of his. There's just something about those moments when their harmonies lock in perfectly. Stevie Nicks' voice just seems to fit with everything... 😉

There are four tracks here: SAD Angel, Without You, It Takes Time, and Miss Fantasy...

For me, it’s always been Miss Fantasy—there’s just something about how wistful, dreamy, and romantic she sounds...😍
Honestly, they all work for me. They’re just classic Fleetwood Mac... 🙂

That’s why I’ve always preferred her solo work—it’s where that velvet voice of hers really gets to breathe and take center stage... Stevie Nicks - Landslide That kind of raw passion—that primal devotion to the music, the sheer ecstasy of it, the art itself... it's something else entirely... Wild Heart...

Wow, I can't actually believe anyone else even bothered to show up to this thread...😁
Beautiful... 😍 Man, I was actually about to head out before looking at this—I’ve kind of been losing steam with this whole topic lately... But hey, maybe we can breathe some life back into Stevie Nicks. 👋

Hey everyone, check in... anyone around?

By the way, Grace Anderson3, I’m right there with you on everything you wrote. I’ve always been obsessed with that effortless energy she has—she moves with this kind of grace that’s hard to describe—and her voice just grabbed me from the very start. Mmm, Wild Heart... truly an incredible record...

Keeping the thread alive. 🙂

Today we're heading back to 1989—the year Stevie dropped her fourth studio album, Rooms on Fire.

Still looking for fellow fans out there. 🥳

I can't be the only one. It’s impossible. There has to be someone else in the US who's a Stevie fan besides me... 🙂

The truth is out there...

I'd much rather just drop this live performance here...
Edge of Seventeen (Live from 1981)
🙏

We could also throw in some of that Fleetwood Mac ambient vibe...
Albatross...
My bad—wrong link...😬😍

Ommmmmm...😎

🙂

I’ve always had a soft spot for Fleetwood Mac... 😁 Albatross is just completely relaxing...

Since we’ve already shifted our focus back to the earlier Fleetwood Mac era, let's take a look at what Stevie Nicks was up to during that time...

Before she joined Fleetwood Mac, she and Lindsey Buckingham teamed up for the Buckingham Nicks LP back in 1973. The music is fantastic—it really captures that early seventies vibe, sounding very much like that classic California sound... Here is a track from that era:

We really should talk about Edge of Seventeen—that absolute powerhouse of a track from her debut solo effort, Bella Donna. 🙂

Yeah, interesting—both of you actually picked top tracks that aren't even Stevie Nicks songs. 🙂
I mean, regarding "Big Love," she doesn't just have a supporting role; she’s practically non-existent vocally. Those female gasps at the end of the track? That was actually Lindsey Buckingham. 🙂 In the music video, Stevie basically just dances a little. 😁

If I had to pick a favorite, it would be "Gypsy" from 1982—the video is stunning 😍, here's the link:

That's what got me hooked on them, watching their videos constantly on VH1.

It’s not surprising that the 80s era of Fleetwood Mac—that's what I call them, anyway—is more famous over here. They were massive in Europe back then. Usually, Americans have a special soft spot for them.

"Stand Back" is her strongest solo hit. It's a great track, personally.
Hehe, yeah, they scrapped the horse video because the whole thing didn't really make sense by the end... plus, Stevie herself wasn't thrilled about the idea of acting in a video. 🙂 I find that video hilarious, though. You can literally see the moment where Stevie is on a galloping horse and just screams in terror. 😂

So, this is Stevie Nicks. 🙂 Honestly, if you haven't at least glanced at her story, you're missing out. 😉
I mean, surely someone here has heard of her—maybe even from that one episode of South Park where they drew her looking like a goat. 😁

Wikipedia puts it this way:

Stevie Nicks (born in Phoenix, Arizona, on May 26, 1948) is an American singer and songwriter.

She’s best known for her time with the rock band Fleetwood Mac, though her solo career has been just as massive.

Back in 1975, she joined the rest of Fleetwood Mac alongside her then-boyfriend, guitarist Lindsey Buckingham—and just two years later, they dropped the legendary album Rumours, which remains one of the best-selling records ever made. Nicks has been nominated for the Grammy Awards seven times; in 1977, she took home the win for Album of the Year as a member of Fleetwood Mac. She was eventually inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1998 along with the rest of her old band. [1]

In 1981, she released her debut solo effort, Bella Donna, which went platinum that same year. Right after its release, Rolling Stone even dubbed her the reigning queen of rock 'n' roll. [2]

Well, I couldn't find an existing thread dedicated to her, so I figured I’d just start one myself.
I'm curious—are there actually any fans of hers here in the States, or am I shouting into the void? She isn't exactly a household name in my circles, but I'm holding onto a little hope that I'm not the only one... 🙂If I'm alone in this, I guess this thread will just fade away pretty quickly. 🙂

So, I'm looking for fellow Stevie Nicks / Fleetwood Mac enthusiasts.

Drop a line if you're out there, or if you know someone who is, send them our way. 😁

I'd love to dive into everything—the songs, the new album, that iconic styling, whatever... as long as it revolves around Stevie Nicks. 😍

Hopefully, someone actually shows up...🙂
