Infertility and low fertility issues
in Women's Health ·
I am new to this forum and will be grateful for any help provided.
My situation is somewhat unique. I live in one place, while my husband is stationed on a different continent due to his job—and this hasn't been the case for long. Before he left about six months ago, we were trying for a baby, though not intensely since work had us both completely exhausted; we were basically zombies crashing in bed after work.
Consequently, those six months of effort didn't result in pregnancy. I am 38 years old, and frankly, I'm starting to feel the pressure. I visited my gynecologist four months ago, and everything seemed fine.
However, I can't shake this anxiety. Since I will only see my husband occasionally over the next two or three years—and even then, just for a few days at a time—🙂🙂🙂, I want to be certain about when I ovulate and, more importantly, ensure that everything is functioning correctly on my end.
My cycles used to be quite regular, but for the last three or four months, they have been all over the place; sometimes it’s day 24, other times it’s day 35. It's infuriating!🙂🙂.
Please let me know which tests I should undergo to be sure I am healthy and ready for pregnancy.
It felt as though my doctor slightly dismissed me during our last visit, offering a smile and suggesting we simply haven't been trying long enough. Fine, I admit we weren't relentless, but I only see my husband two or three times a year now. I need to fully understand my body and track my ovulation so I can actually book flights accordingly.🤣🤣🤣.
One more thing: I am carrying about 55 pounds of excess weight, which I've read in many places can decrease the chances of conception. I started a diet on January 1st.
Thank you all for your responses.
