Best speakers under $75 (ideally Bose, 60W+) in Computer Peripherals ·

..basically—and I might be overthinking this, but bear with me—the sound profile is probably going to shift a little bit over the next month or two compared to how they sound right out of the box. Honestly, it happens with pretty much every speaker system out there—even those high-end ones—so it’s not a huge deal, really! Some people will definitely notice the change and others won't... but hey, at the end of the day, they just need to sound awesome for the price tag, right?

I honestly have no clue what people mean when they say things are "getting stirred up"—like, what does that even imply? Because honestly, they’ve been playing in my ears all day long today!

Alright... here’s a little review for you guys:

So, about those speakers—now we’re talking! Sony WH-1000XM5

The sound quality is honestly top-tier—it fills the whole room so effortlessly! The bass is absolutely killer, too... though, I will say, if you start cranking up the Volume just a little too much, it starts to hit a bit hard.
Don't even get me started on the Volume... honestly, 80 Watts is probably way more than I actually need—I mean, I'm not trying to shake the neighbors' foundation or anything!—but hey, it’s nice to have that extra headroom, right? So, the control panel is tucked away on the right side of the speaker that's plugged into the outlet, and it features these three little knobs for adjusting the Volume, Treble, and Bass. Oh, and there's this little blue LED light glowing right above them too!
Honestly, I don't get the feeling at all that he’s playing through some cheap, budget computer speakers—it just doesn't sound like it! It feels more like I'm sitting in front of a high-end, super fancy studio setup that's pumping out nothing but top-tier audio quality. It’s got this... "thick" sound? I know, sounds weird, but I can't really describe it any other way!

Front view—with the protection on, and then without it. Honestly? I think they look way better without it... just a little more sleek, you know?

I haven't seen any posts from Odostraga lately—has anyone heard from them? It feels like they just vanished off the face of the earth! I was actually looking forward to seeing their take on the latest gear releases—you know how they get when they start geeking out over specs—but nothing. Total radio silence. Anyway, hope everything is going great on their end!

It’s funny how things work—you know, those speakers basically just need a little bit of time to actually "settle in" before the sound becomes truly consistent... It’s like they have a learning curve! Usually, when you get a brand-new pair of speakers that haven't been broken in yet, the highs can feel a bit too sharp and the bass might feel a little extra punchy—though that really depends on the specific model you picked up—but as time goes on, that initial edge just smooths out. Once they've had some playtime, they finally reach that sweet spot where everything sounds balanced and just right. 😂 I really went into this thinking the Genius series was going to be some kind of absolute steal—you know, like getting a premium experience without having to empty out your savings account! I was totally expecting it to be a total bargain for such a low price point. 👍

..then 😲
