Finally managed to get my submission through! My headache was basically this:
I’m running 64-bit Windows 10, but I realized my Windows Explorer was actually the 32-bit version—you can double-check that by hitting the help tab and clicking "about." When I first tried installing Java, the installer saw my 64-bit OS and kept trying to force the 64-bit version of Java on me. Since my browser was 32-bit, nothing was talking to each other. So, I went over to Oracle, grabbed the 32-bit version of Java 8 update 73, and installed that instead. Boom—after that, both the test run and the actual GFI upload worked perfectly. Good luck, everyone!!!

Looks like we’re all hitting the same wall here... I'm trying to run this test and it's demanding a newer version of Java, but every single time I download it and try to hit run, my whole system just freezes up on me. Is there any way to get around this using Chrome, or am I totally stuck just using IntelliJ?

Hey guys, can someone walk me through the paperwork side of things here? If I'm switching an employee from a contract role over to full-time permanent status, is there anything else I need to update besides the standard m3p form?

How long did it take you guys to actually get a notification about your successful activation on HealthIT.gov?
I sent my request in back on April 24th—and yeah, I know how that sounds—but I got an immediate confirmation saying everything was valid and that they’d hit me up via email once the activation was complete. Since then? Absolute radio silence... nothing. I've been firing off emails to support@medicare.gov like a total maniac, but honestly, it feels like I'm shouting into a void because I haven't heard a peep back. Does anyone have any advice on what I should do next?

That’s exactly what I was thinking too—but then this agent starts insisting I can just mail it in, though they can't even tell me how to actually get it to them! 🙂

Does anyone happen to know how I can file my sales tax return for November 2013 when all the totals are $0.00? My contact at the IRS says I have to get it submitted right away because it was missed entirely by mistake—but when I log into the e-filing system, it’s telling me the earliest date I can accept is January 1st, 2014. The agent can't input the 2013 paperwork without that November filing being processed first, I'm strictly forbidden from just dropping off paper copies in person, and honestly, nobody is picking up the phone when I call.

Everything's back to normal now... I ended up logging out to go tackle some other stuff, and when I finally hopped back on, everything was right where it should be—thank God!

So, I just turned in my payroll and tax forms back on January 15th, and now—total fluke, really—I’m glancing at my Chase account and noticing something weird. Neither the deduction nor my actual deposit from the 15th is showing up anywhere on my card statement. Has anyone else run into this before, or does anyone have a clue what might be going on?

I actually really dug the movie—honestly, Meryl is a total lock for an Oscar, obviously 👍
Best and Worst of 2013 in Movies ·
The absolute best:
- The Wolf of Wall Street
- The Wolf of Wall Street
- Dallas Buyers Club
- Augustsage County😳 - Captain Phillips
- Escape Plan
- Runner Runner
- Prisoners
- We're the Millers
- Now You See Me
- Mud
- Olympus Has Fallen
- Side Effects
- Parker

Look, let's be real—there's definitely some filler in this bunch, but honestly? I don't regret sitting through them one bit. Most of them are just a solid ninety minutes to two hours of great entertainment

Does anyone know where I can hunt down some American subtitles for this flick?

I actually really dug this movie—there’s just something so satisfying about watching a film take a massive swing at those big pharma giants... and man, Matthew McConaughey was absolutely killing it.

Ugh, I am seriously losing my mind here—I can’t even log in! I keep getting this stupid system error telling me to close every other browser and try again, but nope, even after doing exactly that, it still won't let me through... It was working perfectly fine at 11:00 AM, but now? Total blackout. Does anyone know how I'm supposed to file my Value Added Tax Act paperwork if the site is acting like this?

ruggedcyclist74 said:Basically, you can pass that tax liability over for cleaning when you're doing a major construction cleanup, but it doesn't apply to your standard, everyday janitorial stuff.

That’s how I’ve always interpreted it—and honestly, that’s the advice I give all my clients...

Thanks for the help, everyone. So, I had another chat with my tax advisor today, and she's telling me it all hinges on whether there's a formal maintenance contract in place (which is a bit of a mixed bag for me—some clients have them, some don't). If there's a contract, we go with the transfer; if there isn't, then sales tax kicks in. I am seriously at my wit's end here, I have no clue what to do next.

Hey everyone, I could really use some expert advice here—I'm feeling a bit stuck. So, I run an LLC, and according to our standard industry classification codes, we’re officially set up for general cleaning services for all sorts of properties. But, you know how it goes, things aren't always black and white—sometimes we jump in and handle stuff like facade repairs and renovations too. Back in July, we did some exterior work on an apartment complex, and we're currently billing HUD for the job. My big question is: based on those new tax laws regarding construction services, should I be charging sales tax on this specific invoice, or am I exempt? Any clarity would be huge!

Jack Carter88 said:My suggestion? Just take the data from your spreadsheet and manually type it directly into the online form on the Tax Portal. Honestly, it isn't as daunting as it sounds; there aren't actually that many fields to fill out. Once you've finished that, look through your submitted forms. You can select the confirmation from the dropdown menu, which allows you to save or print both the confirmation and the original form itself.

As for your supervisor, it's probably best to just give her exactly what she asks for. It keeps the peace.

That’s the plan! Thanks a ton, and have a good night.

Brian Campbell36 said:Are you actually wondering how one is meant to submit the Balance Sheet and the IRS filings? Is it not clearly stated above that those should be sent as a .pdf?

However, if you wish to proceed, simply return to the original document you saved to your hard drive, navigate to the "File" menu, select "Save As," and then choose "Word XML Document" from the file type dropdown menu. I trust that provides the clarity you require.

Actually, I'm talking about the PD—my supervisor is one of those old-school types who insists I hand-deliver the Balance Sheet, the RDG, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce stuff, the Tourism Board docs, and even the depreciation Table... basically everything. Thanks for the tip, really, but for some reason, whenever I try to save that Excel-based PD as an XML Document, absolutely nothing happens, and then the Tax Portal just throws an error at me again. I'm totally stuck here.
IRS and Tax Filing Issues in Business, Accounting & Taxes ·
Man, I’m currently wrestling with this POD form, but it keeps spitting back an error saying the format isn't allowed—apparently, it’s got to be an XML Document. Does anyone know how the heck I can turn this POD into an XML Document??? Seriously, help a guy out!

ruggedcyclist74 said:I take a similar approach; I record all current year payments to account 2 just to keep things from getting messy, and then at year-end, I pull the corporate income tax card, strip out the interest and last year's obligations, and move the net amount of prepaid taxes over to account 1... which covers our tax prepayments receivable.

Honestly, same here. It makes everything way easier to track that way, though since I haven't actually made any payments yet, I won't have anything to transfer over to account 1.
