Does anyone else get hit by massive nostalgia for old-school sports?

I was thinking about this the other day while looking through some old boxes in my garage. I found an old, faded team pennant from a franchise that hasn't even existed in the same form for decades. It’s funny how much weight we put on these specific eras of sports. You see these "legacy" nights or alumni events popping up everywhere now, and while I love the sentiment, I sometimes wonder if it’s just a way to milk the nostalgia of older fans who grew up watching the legends.
Don't get me wrong, seeing the old guard back together is cool. There’s something special about the atmosphere when a stadium is filled with people who remember the exact moment a specific player scored a winning goal. It creates this weird, shared connection between strangers in the stands. But I also feel like we spend so much time looking backward at "the glory days" that we sometimes overlook the grit and energy of the current rosters.
