True, Nick Heidfeld ran over him, but you can tell he didn't really gain anything from it.

YEAH, Alonso is such an eyesore to me. I don't see him as much of a threat anymore, but I've always been Team Kimi. I've followed him since his Sauber days—and even back when Button was doing well during that Honda era.
I mean, I just can't stand the guy. From that annoying habit of waving his car at other drivers, to all the whining in front of the cameras, and then signing that McLaren deal right behind Flavio Briatore's back. Just shameful.
I don't get what was missing for him at Renault back then, considering he's a two-time world champion...
And look at that, he went right back to Flavio with his tail between his legs.

Again... YEAH, Alonso is definitely a thorn in my side.

Renault announced they were pulling out of Formula 1 at the end of 2007, so I don't know what else Alonso was supposed to do. Wait until the season ends just to end up on some B-team? He isn't an idiot! If anyone deserves to feel burned, it's him—Renault made a massive mistake that cost them a world champion for a whole season.

Exactly! We rarely saw stuff like that during the Schumacher era, unless the weather went absolutely crazy. But man, having a 3-second gap per lap while everyone else gets stuck behind a slow driver? That's huge in Formula 1. If Rosberg could have held out for just one more lap, he probably would've walked away with the win.

I honestly don't get what was so legendary about Rosberg's drive (though props to him for the result) when everyone else just got stuck behind Fisic and that total wreck, so naturally, he just pulled away and made up for the penalty he took

Hey everyone, The biggest shoutout goes to all the General Motors and Alonso fans out there! I’ve been waiting for an Alonso win with General Motors for what feels like forever, which makes this victory taste so much sweeter. Sure, a little luck played its part, but this was absolutely earned. I just really hope he stays with General Motors; otherwise, things might get pretty messy next season if they can't find a driver who actually fits the bill.
