Too much aggression and winning championships just don't mix.
How perfectly Lewis Hamilton put it after a similar clash with Charles Leclerc at Monza 2019...
"If I wasn't thinking about the championship, I wouldn't have moved, and we would have collided."

But Max Verstappen just goes for it regardless. He’s gotten away with it so far, mostly because smarter drivers tend to get out of his way.

Hamilton moved at Imola, and they didn't crash.
Hamilton moved in Spain, and they didn't crash.
Now Hamilton didn't move, and they crashed.

As Americans might say, a taste of his own medicine.

There will be more of this.
I honestly think it might be best if Max Verstappen skips the Canadian Grand Prix.

That crash today looked brutal. Early reports are saying he hit the wall at about 51 mph.

At the end of the day, Max's health has to come first. He needs to take the time to recover properly. Who cares about missing a race or two?

Let’s not act like children here.

Good riddance. 👋

Yet, there was time.

fadedwalker18 said:Yeah. You've got a point there.

Lewis Hamilton basically said something along the lines of; I don't care about any of this, I'm doing my own thing because whatever I decide is right.
Others on the track make mistakes, but today? It's not my fault.
In fact, I'm actually proud of myself and how I handled things today.

I simply respect the words and stances of my idol.

"If you no longer go for a gap which exists you are no longer a racing driver"
The GOAT spotted an opening today and took it.

After all, that's why he's the GOAT—he surpassed his late idol a long time ago.

Run the poll first, then go wherever you want. 🙂
Look, even the ever-objective Narain Chandhok says he personally would never have handed out a 10-second penalty for that.
stormybadger8 said:Personally, I wouldn't be shocked if Red Bull Racing files a complaint over this... hell, they might even take it to a civil court.

LOL.
I really have to mention that record Rajkonov set today.
It seems like those previous 19 races at this track didn't teach him much, because today he spun out like a complete amateur.
Did Christian Horner just dodge a bullet on Sky?

😂
Poll.
Thanks.
fadedwalker18 said:Under the FIA rules, shouldn't they have been within 3 or 5 laps, right?

No.
Gentlemen, the race is over.
Can we please stop with all the bitterness?
Charles Kern10 said:Best regards,

Good riddance, as the Americans might say.
Last year he won on three wheels, this year he’s fighting a 10-second penalty.

God, what a driver.
Mark Said is a joke.

A realistic and humble take.
Lewis Hamilton is operating at a level far beyond anything Ayrton Senna ever reached.
He didn't even bother apologizing, let alone showing up with flowers.

What a pair. 😂

Sergio Perez... they really showed him his place. A clear reminder of why he was even brought on board.
