All this hype leading up to the game against the bears feels kind of pointless, I guess. They seem weakened, maybe even a bit nervous—they just can't seem to hold their ground when things get messy. They're already starting to talk themselves up in the media, and honestly, their peak optimism seems to be nothing more than winning by maybe three goals.
So, instead of being completely preoccupied with this matchup against the bears, I feel like we should probably start thinking about how we'll set ourselves up for the semifinals. Do you guys think that other group is actually pretty weak? And what's the deal with the Americans—is this some sort of renaissance for their handball, or are they just taking advantage of the fact that the competition in this tournament isn't quite as high quality? I suppose we shouldn't have any issues reaching the gold medal, provided we stay smart and don't get too complacent during the semifinals.
