So, what about those shoulder straps over at Macy's? Are they flimsy or actually sturdy?
I’ve got this feeling I’m gonna be missing at least 5cm of coverage myself. 😁 Right now, the only size that works for me is at Anita. But man, those prices are insane... totally ridiculous! I already paid double for two of them before. $267 🙄

And you would pay that for them $28? 🤣

No, obviously not. I can't shop at Nordstrom because I don't have a job. I have to make do with Kohl's and Target. I just stick to my old old Victoria's Secret bras and try to patch them up whenever I can. 😢.

U MANI, they have bras with or without underwire, in black or white, all for under $100 (if that works for you, personally I could use an extra 5cm 😂). $28, they're actually pretty decent. I saw the same sizes at C&A, but those were hideous. I don't think they even support something like a 75A quasi-size.
Calling in sick? in Health ·
I used to push myself like that, but never again. I don’t have a single sick day to my name. Think about it: if you’re 40 years old with a solid work history, what are the odds that you’ve actually never been sick once? Honestly, almost zero.
I kept dragging myself to work because I was terrified of getting fired. Guess what? I ended up losing my job anyway. Look, if I had needed surgery or some serious illness that physically kept me pinned to my bed, I wouldn't have had a choice. But this was different. I was just forcing myself through it... and now that I'm out of a job, I'm stuck dealing with the fallout of that mindset.

Forgive my bluntness, but your friend is being incredibly rude. If he’s going to bring a dog into public spaces, he should at least teach it some manners. My dog tends to jump on people too, which is exactly why I don't take him out in crowds—and I always make sure to give guests a heads-up before they walk through my door.

Exactly. But just like the woman posting above, he probably despises the people who were bothered by his precious little puppy. By the way, he almost certainly jumped on people and maybe even ruined someone's clothes. But that doesn't matter at all, right? 🙄.
Exactly... like I said—it’s pure hypocrisy. You look at these forums and there are endless threads and chats where women "show off" their pets. It's all "oh, he's so cute," or "how could anyone hurt an animal?" It's constant licking and petting and all that fluff. Then, those very same people go out and eat chicken nuggets or grab a burger at McDonald's—I know because they post about it constantly. But sure, let's just call them "selective animal lovers." They adore dogs and cats, but everything else is just food on a plate. Honestly, their comments attacking anyone who "doesn't love animals" are pathetic. And I also can't stand the people who take such a hardline "nothing animal-related" stance just so they can constantly nag everyone else. Look, I don't smoke, and smokers smell worse to me than dog poop. Am I supposed to say that to every single smoker I run into?
Ordering medication from overseas in Health ·
Exactly. If he orders it this way at a local pharmacy, it’ll end up costing us way more than if we just grabbed it in Austria. That goes for most medications, too. I know some things aren't cheaper there either, but with what we're buying, we originally checked with our local pharmacy and the price was for $67 a small pack. Then I emailed some places in Austria to ask around—and they have $83 a large pack that's actually double the size. Since Austria is only a twenty-minute drive away and we head over there anyway for shopping, it’s a total no-brainer. It’s clearly worth it for us.
So, does owning a pet automatically mean you actually like people? Yeah, right. ☕

I’m not an animal lover myself. We have pets at home, so I feed them and make sure they’re taken care of, but I wouldn't call myself a "lover." My family members, on the other hand, claim to be, yet they often care less about those same animals than I do.

It's just hypocrisy, plain and simple. It happens in everything.

Amanda Lopez7 said:My daughter is struggling with asthma, and her specialist over at the Mayo Clinic has determined that she needs to start immunotherapy. The medication itself is manufactured in France, but I’ve been sourcing it from a supplier in Brežice. It runs me about $100 per dose. My question is: do I need to declare this at the border, and am I going to get hit with customs duties? I have all the official medical documentation regarding her condition, and since this specific medication isn't available here in the States, I don't really have any other way to get it.

Don't quote me on this—someone more knowledgeable might chime in—but we buy the exact same things. We just follow the rule that you can carry over more than $333 (I think it's around $150 or $200) without issues. We never even mention it at the border. If anyone asks, we just show them all our receipts. It’s never been an issue for us 🤷.

But honestly? If you ask me, the selection at C&A is way better. 🤷

Exactly. And the quality is better too. Let’s be real—Target has plenty of options and I shop there myself because it's cheap. But if we're talking quality? Not really. I've tried just about everything they offer, and the only things that actually hold up are the pajamas and socks. Especially the socks. Their cotton ones for closed shoes are top-tier. But honestly, you can find good socks anywhere, and they aren't exactly the cheapest option either. Even the underwear isn't bad. But the t-shirts, pants, and sweats? Good grief.
I just thought of something else—there is absolutely no excuse for a doctor being rude when you ask them questions. Or getting defensive because they realize you sought a second opinion. Look, he’s just a human being, and he can think whatever he wants, but he shouldn't show it.
Wait, I just realized something—if I’m reading this right, we actually have two active doctors participating in this subforum, don't we? At least, that's how I see it. They might both be top-tier professionals, but there's a huge difference in how they interact. One has a great rapport with everyone here (it’s probably just like how they treat patients, since I doubt they act any differently in RL). The other one is exactly what I described in my previous post: giving these blunt, clinical answers that leave a regular person completely lost. Like, hello? I know I don't expect someone outside my field to understand my job, but still.
Building on what everyone else here has already pointed out, I truly believe a good doctor is someone who gives their patient the full picture regarding their illness and treatment options. I’m not talking about the doctors I usually run into. You know the type: they barely look up and just hand you a prescription, or they tell you to go see a specialist, leaving you to wait six months for an appointment while you sit there wondering if your condition is actually serious or not. I get it—they don't have thirty minutes to chat with every single person in the waiting room. But still, a doctor should be able to gauge exactly what's vital for a patient to know. It should be straightforward: "You have this condition, we're going to try this treatment first, and if that doesn't work, we'll move on to this or that."

Otherwise, it might just be a matter of tweaking your settings to allow cookies or adjusting some other privacy restriction in your browser options.

Aaaaaaaaaa, you were totally right. Thanks!

Alright, why wouldn't it work? I click on the post right above Jonathan Thomas28's, hit that multi-quote button on the right—it turns red—then I click the quote button on his post, and somehow only his text shows up.
