Robin White7 said:Look, when I do a page break like that, I end up with a blank line right before the heading on the first page of the second section. I can't seem to delete it for the life of me...😁 It's messing up my whole layout!😛 Is there any way to fix this?

You mean— above the heading?
Post a screenshot of that part of the document, but first: Tools > Options > the View tab, then under Formatting Marks select All and hit OK. Then we can actually see what's going on.

Don't mention it...
For everyone else dealing with similar headaches: just remember trial and error. Don't let it get to you. 🙂

Correction: I’m trying to restart the page numbering at 1 starting from the third page, but the first three pages keep auto-numbering too. It goes 0, 1, 2 and then resets to 1, 2, 3... If I delete the numbers on those first three pages, they all disappear. Even though the first three are labeled Section 1 and the rest are Section 2..

0, 1, 2 and then 1, 2, 3 again?!? Really?!? 😕
Put your cursor in the footer of Section 2 and click same as Previous. Only then will the sections actually become independent, letting you delete the numbers in the first part or set whatever you want in the second.
driftingbear98 said:I can't get this thing to work. I still have to manually delete the first three. Every time I try to wipe those numbers out, they vanish from every single page at once. Then, if I type a number back in, the same damn number pops up on every page too. And that button... same as Previous It’s greyed out, so I can't click it. 🤷

Take a look at this:
...Page break. But like this: Insert > I need a break. > Next page.
So, that's off the table. Page break. It's basic. You can't build autonomous sections with that.

To add or delete pages: One page > Header and Footer settings. > (place cursor at desired location) > How do I format page Number? Then just format the numbers however you want.

Yeah, my bad—apologies to everyone. Just a symbol. format page Number It's 3. (Or maybe 4.) Left side....
Robin White7 said:How do I number just certain pages?? For example, I don't want the first three numbered, but all the rest should be...😁

After the third page, you need a page break, but specifically this one: Insert > Break > Next Page.
That creates two separate sections.
From there, you can set up the footers for both sections however you want—like deleting numbers in the first section and adding them to the second. Just make sure that in the second section (starting on page 4), you click same as Previous (it's the 5th icon on the contextual ribbon that pops up when you're in the footer) to unbind it, then insert the page number and use format page Number (the 3rd icon on that same ribbon). Choose Start at > [your number, probably 1 🙂] > OK.
I know it sounds dry, but take it step by step. It's not that hard.

I'm using equations for the formulas, but I have no idea how to make those two lines perfectly perpendicular so it looks like a real graph... 🤷 plus I need to plot a function and I'm stuck on how to do that... 🤷
anyone??

Insert > Object on the Create New tab, select Microsoft Graph Chart then click OK . Just plug in your data and tweak/format it until it looks right.

Whatever...
Check your monitor's manual for the manufacturer's recommended resolution.
You'll get used to things looking "too small" soon enough, and you'll realize the benefits of actually following the manufacturer's advice.

The Word zoom is just too small for a screen that size. (Side note: why aren't you running at 1920x1200?)
Try this: while the document is open, hold down Ctrl and scroll your mouse wheel up or down. It's the fastest way to adjust the view via zooming.
