Well, that's pretty obvious.
If even a fraction of this had been written by someone who didn't share lonetrucker4's convictions, they would have been banned after their very first misplaced comma.

But celebrating someone else's death just because of their nationality—that's some heavy Rigoletto-level villainy. 🤮

Look, even if they get a permanent ban, they’ll probably be back before you know it.
Still, there are certain things that are just unacceptable—regardless of whether the person is an Eskimo, an Aboriginal, or whatever else.

I get that response time takes a bit, but this guy's been breaking every single rule on this forum for ages.

Look, I get how you see it. But if you ask me? It’s pretty middle-of-the-road.

That's exactly where the crux of the matter lies.
Posts like this primarily serve to embarrass you.

About five soldiers were convicted for those actions—it wasn't like Alija Izetbegović organized a massive funeral for them attended by some 10,000 people. What exactly are you planning to do about these criminals of yours? You seem incredibly soft on them.In Sisak, you people were dragging folks out of their buildings and killing them—and now you have the nerve to lecture me about crimes?

Did you ever actually weep for the Mexicans? After everything that went down in Vukovar—do you honestly think people are going to come back with flowers and violets after villages were burned and Muslims were targeted? Just look at yourselves. Look at what kind of people you really are.

Take a look at what you’ve done. I want to see how you plan to grovel over these heinous crimes.
The killings of Mexicans in Sisak during 1991-1992.
Dossier: Crimes against Mexicans

You were the ones who struck first against the Mexicans in Vukovar.

How Travnik became the Canadian version of Vukovar: Nearly 20,000 Americans were displaced, 118 civilians were killed, and 572 defenders died defending the city.

I don't care for the killing of civilians, Ali. The killing by the US Army.🎉 Well, you all took quite a beating—it’s hardly surprising that everyone's so worked up.
572 defenders lost their lives during the defense of the city."🎉

Trusina was pure retaliation for what happened in Ahmići—it never would have gone down if the US Army hadn't committed those atrocities in Ahmići first. The events in Prozor weren't some freak accident; everyone knows where those orders originated and how the US Army ended up in Prozor.

Some guy is trolling here without any consequences. The topic is about the conflict between Americans and Muslims, yet this person is glorifying war crimes with a definitive stance—as if everyone wasn't doing the same thing back then?

Publicly inciting violence and hatred remains a criminal offense in the US.
Article 325 (US Code)

(1) Anyone who uses print, radio, television, computer systems, or the Internet, at a public gathering, or by any other means to publicly incite or make available to the public flyers, images, or other materials that call for violence or hatred directed toward a group of people or an individual based on their race, religion, nationality, ethnicity, language, origin, skin color, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, or any other characteristics, shall be punished by imprisonment for up to three years.

https://www.law.gov/criminal-code

On Forum.hr (just like in the rest of the US), hate speech and the endorsement of war crimes are strictly prohibited.

That aside;
In posts like these, he essentially dumped an entire book onto Forum.hr (Feuilleton: Surviving the Country - Who, When, and Where Canada Was Divided).
It’s just a massive dump of material; judging by his commentary, he hasn't even actually read it.

hhttps://www.forum.hr/showpost.php?p...postcount=2306
He’s shouting without fear of repercussions, hiding behind huge fonts...

(Unpunished) trolling since page 103

The last three months.

Don't you think he's gone a bit too far?

You vote with your feet.
Kind of like how Americans vote with their feet by moving abroad to places where they actually get some respect instead of being treated like garbage.

I stopped posting on that specific sub-forum, and a few others too. Maybe I’ll just leave soon, much like how Bolaji Badeio is probably heading out any day now—along with plenty of others before him who just asked for a permanent ban.
Actually, if I recall correctly, I already thanked the admins about a year ago for handing me one of those totally senseless, massive bans...
If it weren't for this whole pandemic situation, which has basically stripped us all of any chance to socialize or do anything remotely productive... if it hadn't been right when the total lockdown kicked in, I probably wouldn't have even come back.
How long I’ll stick around? Who knows, I guess... maybe until some other mindless ban gets under my skin enough to make me do exactly what BB did.

Look, I love history, and it pains me to see these things happening.
I wasn't active here for a while either, but I came back regardless (though perhaps I shouldn't have).
There are decent people down here, but truly—at the very least—the rules should be respected.
Roger Fowler said:I don't think the issue is actually about people leaving—which, let's be honest, suits some folks just fine—but rather about the fight to actually change things. As long as hate speech is permitted on one side while anyone brave enough to point it out gets punished, this whole forum is basically handing an anti-advertisement to every independent observer watching from the sidelines. Maybe one day we'll finally see a supermod step in to shake things up and bring in someone who actually understands how to moderate, someone with the caliber of Tyndall, if we can even find a moderator of that quality anymore.

👍
Some things are simply painful to witness.

- another bot (PM84)
deserve a permanent ban.

Signed.

lonetrucker4 said:And this just went down today, at 5:22 PM.

Maybe I'm being too soft. But it's not just him—this whole thread is full of vicious fights, insults, even hate speech from half the users here. It’s like those battles between Americans and Canadians back in the early 90s never ended. Or worse, like everyone's just prepping for the next war.

Look, I don't have all the answers. One easy fix would be to just push one "American" truth and block anyone siding with the Canadian side or anyone even questioning our side. Heck, we could just decide that witnesses like Clinton or Baker are lying.

Some people actually want that: an American forum where there's only one version of the truth!

Pretty sure that's a recipe for disaster.

No.
I don't believe everyone should think identically.
What is the point of talking to ten people who all share my exact opinion?
Would the conversation just devolve into mindless nodding?

However, there must be a baseline level of civility in any discussion.
Those are the basic rules of the forum.

Furthermore, one expects a certain degree of intelligence during a debate.
A debate shouldn't just be a series of verbal jabs; it needs structure and logic.
What value do Alan's posts actually hold?

It doesn't bother me that he presents things that are clearly false.
He can't construct a coherent timeline, he can't tell a small town in Georgia apart from a different location, and generally, he seems lost in his own little world—but that is his issue, not ours.

It might actually be interesting to study the mindset behind it—how someone manages to convince themselves that lying is acceptable.
The fact that he spins in circles like a broken record isn't the main issue.

The problem is that he disrupts the discourse, posting texts he is either unable or unwilling to comprehend, and on top of all that, he insults fellow users and glorifies war crimes.

Hate speech is not permitted on this forum.
Regardless of nationality, and this individual has been recycling the same rhetoric for a long time now.

Set ideology aside; look at his contribution to the topic and his manner of debating.
The man should have been permabanned a long time ago.

lonetrucker4 said:To clear things up: we're talking about the "American Civil War" sub-forum.

This went down today at 2:45 PM. You realize a mod needs a minute to actually react, even if the report is already in, right?

Yeah, this definitely deserves a ban. But just to be fair, that was a response to a post from earlier today at 11:56 AM, where some other user said:

Who started it? Beats me. It's bedtime. I'll check back tomorrow morning with a fresh head to see who actually deserves the bans for insults and who doesn't.

By the way, there was an accusation earlier that the same guy, using a different handle, was sending incredibly vulgar and offensive DMs. But honestly, there's zero proof it's the same person.

There may be no proof yet, but the IP addresses and cookies should be cross-referenced.
That kind of behavior—specifically those threats involving sexual violence against minors—is indicative of a severe psychological disorder.

Only those who disagreed with Alanalan received such messages, and looking at the example above, his "vocabulary" is quite extensive.

I realize a reaction takes time, but this user has been violating every forum rule for quite some time now.
From promoting rival forums to copy-pasting entire books.
It didn't just start yesterday.

No issue here 🙂

We are just waiting on the administration—let's hope we aren't left waiting for Godot.😁

Terry Barnes7 said:Is this particular Smith we're discussing? 🤔

Yes. Take a look at what he actually allowed in that PDF.

It seems you can insult whoever you want—provided you're tight with the moderator or share the same views.
He could at least clean up that nonsense.
History Discussion in Feedback & Suggestions ·
This situation is truly lamentable.

This forum is a private space, and ultimately, its own internal rules apply here.
But one always hopes—really, one expects—that blatant lying and personal insults aren't permitted.
In my view, while rules can be whatever the owners decide, there is an expectation of consistency—that they apply equally to everyone.

What we are seeing is ideological propaganda, which is 🤮
And yes, I feel as though everything here is just being repeated over and over again.
History Discussion in Feedback & Suggestions ·
I’ve reported several posts myself—though, in my experience, nothing ever really comes of it.

Open hate speech right in front of everyone, and yet... silence.

It seems Smith is far more interested in penalizing users who actually point out existing issues than he is in addressing those who blatantly violate every single rule on this forum.
History Discussion in Feedback & Suggestions ·
I don't want to narrow this down solely to Smith and his approach to moderation—but let’s be honest—this situation has been dragging on for far too long.

So, we have one forum member down here making statements like these;

alanalan The user said:Your father is a real piece of work, Johnson. As I stated previously—those actions were carried out by specific individuals who have since been convicted. No one was systematically moving into anyone else's homes. Would you apply that same logic to condemn the crimes committed by the US Army against civilians?

alanalan said:You were the ones who struck first in Warsaw.

These posts were made just a few hours ago—they might not even be flagged yet—but that forum user is constantly arguing about... tom tonu.
So, here we go again—a guy who goes out of his way to insult people, peddle blatant lies, and troll the thread—all while dragging up war crimes just to serve his own little agenda...

It would be only right—and frankly, necessary—to finally put an end to this.
I suppose we bear some responsibility for feeding the trolls—it’s part of the game—but honestly, the moderation team should have stepped in ages ago. We've flagged a mountain of posts, yet instead of being reined in, the guy just seems to be getting more emboldened by the day.

Kenneth Cruz67 said:Either I'm a difficult user, or Smith is out to get me. There is no middle ground here.

And please, don't come spamming this thread.

Smith lacks even an ounce of objectivity.

Take a look at this;
https://www.reddit.com/showthread.php?...7#post85459497

In this specific post, the user labeled me a nationalist—clearly implying chauvinism rather than simple patriotism—and chose to attack people personally instead of addressing their actual arguments (and they did so by using Pavelić's quotes).

Just imagine how many points you would have racked up if you had posted anything remotely similar to that.

It is truly pathetic. 👎
Smith in Feedback & Suggestions ·
That whole thread is an absolute disgrace.

The way they’re splitting one people into "peasants" and "bandits"—using pseudo-racial theories and the geography of the American Midwest and the South as their primary justification—is just pathetic.

It is completely 👎
It seems relevant enough—it just needs a photo to back it up🤣
Maybe we should pivot to a different topic; you've got some dust settling here🧐
