No, that’s not quite it... He actually brought his laptop over to my place and connected it through my modem, and he can get online just fine—but the moment I try to connect my own computer, everything stalls. It might be an issue with my network card... though it's strange because when I'm running Windows XP, the internet works perfectly fine. It’s specifically on my machine that it fails, even after I install Windows 7... :/ I am honestly at my wit's end here, and I have no idea how to fix this...
I am in desperate need of some assistance!!! I’ve been trying to install Windows 7, but for some reason, I simply cannot get an internet connection to work... It works perfectly fine on my friend's machine—he actually brought his laptop over to my place, let me install Windows 7 for him, and once we connected it to my router (set to router mode), he had full internet access immediately... yet mine just won't cooperateeeeeee 😢😢😢 🙂
I am currently installing Windows 7, and while everything seems to be running beautifully, I am hitting a wall with the internet connection. It keeps reporting that there is no internet access—it’s quite frustrating... So, I have reverted back to Windows XP for the time being, where the internet works perfectly fine without any issues. Now, I am wondering—could this perhaps be solved by installing an antivirus program? I know they can be quite vigilant and constantly trigger warnings, so maybe that is the missing link to getting online... Or is it something else entirely? Does anyone happen to know what might be causing this?
