Basically, that first checkbox shouldn't be checked.🙂
The first image shows the issue as it was explained, while the second one is how my setup actually looks.
When I try following the steps in the picture, my computer settings look a bit different. All I see is "Use Sharing Wizard (Recommended)," and when I uncheck that, nothing happens. I haven't even bothered trying the rest of those options yet.

Yeah, but as you can clearly see, it isn't actually showing the real image; they all just look like identical little boxes.?!

Look, I’m honestly not sure if this is the right place to be asking this, but I figured I’d give it a shot.
Up until a few days ago, I was running Windows XP. Then, someone came over to clean up my PC and ended up installing Windows 7. Now I’m hitting a wall. When I open a folder full of photos, I don't actually see any images—just a bunch of identical-looking icons. To find anything, I have to manually open every single file just to figure out what it is. It isn't happening with regular folders on my hard drive, but it's a nightmare with my Canon camera. I've got about 2,000 shots on there, and I can't possibly click through every individual photo just to find the one I'm looking for. A few people mentioned I could try switching between large, medium, or small icons in the top right corner, but that didn't change a thing; the size changes, but the preview still doesn't show up.
