I believe the headliners for the local radio station were similar to Gaia last year, if I recall correctly?
Grind
in Music ·
It has actually been quite a while since I last really immersed myself in any grindcore. I suppose I used to listen to Napalm Death and Pataren the most, which is exactly what I intended to mention, but I seem to have lost my train of thought.
Shave me, mother, shave me, mother, shave me with a chainsaw
🙂
I feel like I should probably spend some time revisiting and deepening my knowledge of the genre.
Since Nicholas Perez33 already brought up the subject, I thought I would share information regarding a festival that really ought to happen. There is plenty of chatter about it on various forums, and a few bands have even posted announcements on MySpace, though nothing has been officially confirmed yet:
🙂 🙂
If even half of this lineup actually materialized, it would be an absolute miracle.
EDIT:
I just remembered one specific band that I've listened to more than any other when it comes to grind, specifically because their music is so incredibly extreme:
Impetigo
Here is just a small excerpt from Wikipedia:
And here is their website: http://www.impetigo.grindgore.net/
I am currently covering the "horror of The Zombies" album, which I have listened to countless times, especially the track Boneyard:

For anyone who appreciates grind, gore, or death metal, this is essential listening.

Oh, absolutely, I think we definitely want to do it again!!! 😁
Maybe it could be Electric Six.
Or honestly, just anything that gets people out on the dance floor. 😍
I just caught wind of that over on the National Park thread. It honestly made my day 😁.
It looks like the ticket window will open again soon, though I think I'll be the only one actually biting during this first window from January 28th to February 28th.
If I’m reading the official festival website correctly, it seems like tickets for that initial period might start rolling out around $83, similar to how it worked last year? And if they happen to offer a discount starting from $17, well, that would be absolutely wonderful 😁.
EDIT: Oh, wait, I just saw that the discounted price is actually $83. That is even better than I thought 😉.
