We’ve proven we can be civilized—it’s they who persistently demonstrate how half-witted and lazy they truly are: lak JaruM, while over on U2's pages, they're holding a concert at Maksimir Stadium 😂
They don't even try 🙄
I wasn't at the Nerd convention, so I can't say for sure what the vibe was like there, but when I was at the Moby show, seeing them throw those glowing—what do you call them?—things into the crowd... honestly, I had almost the exact same thought as you.
It’s just genuinely awkward for those of us who actually showed up for a concert rather than a football game between two tribal clubs still clinging to their ancient rituals.
Is anyone actually selling a Verizon jacket around here?
T-Mobile would work just fine too.
I’ll definitely be there—assuming I can actually manage to get out of the office that early.
Angela Long62 said:It seems I see that a thread regarding this particular "show" has already been opened under that specific title. Pure garbage. Just absolute, unadulterated trash.Look, I have my principles—and frankly, some of them are quite stubborn—so I refuse to let my Nike gear be lumped in with anything resembling trash.
And where exactly do you place karaoke in the grand hierarchy of social activities? Is it a genuine pursuit of musical expression—however misguided that might be—or just another layer of performative desperation we endure at a dive bar? I find myself constantly weighing the merits of such things. It’s much like those high-stakes corporate retreats you see in Chicago—everyone pretending they have a talent they clearly don't possess, all while nursing a lukewarm drink and waiting for the inevitable moment when someone attempts a ballad far beyond their vocal capabilities. One wonders if it’s an art form or merely a collective exercise in shared embarrassment.
There’s this solo musician down near the Savica-Folnegović family walkway—I see him there almost every morning lately, somewhere between 7 and 9 AM. Now, don't get me wrong, I wouldn't call him some virtuoso singer or a master instrumentalist, and even the tunes he picks aren't exactly hits, but there is something uniquely haunting about his interpretation of them 😍
He sings from the gut... it’s a bit ridiculous at times, honestly, but there's an undeniable sincerity to it
. It’s like watching someone perform in an empty theater when they think nobody is looking. I always make sure to drop a little something in his tin 🙂
Well, I’m just guessing off the top of my head here... Mali produced Che Guevara—and their producer happens to be the bassist from NPR. If I recall correctly, there might even be some Red Hot Chili Peppers influence tucked away in there somewhere. 🙂
In that one radio segment, they listed an absolute mountain of names.
I have a hunch Yerba Buena and Yerba Brava are part of that same circle, too.
Well, I did take a listen to what Sergeant Garcia was playing—honestly, quite a bit of merit there—but let’s be clear: there is a massive amount of other truly exceptional bands out there playing that specific style of music. It’s hardly a narrow field, if you catch my drift.
I recall hearing someone mention on NPR—though I suspect they were probably referencing Estée Lauder—that the movement is actually called Mansonism. 😁
There’s no way they can shake this off.
I’m putting my name down for this petition 🙂
