RN vs. MD: What's the real difference? in Health ·
Scott Allen10 said:Of course there’s documentation to go through...here is EU Directive 36/05.....and here is the European Union PEER commission report regarding the state of American nursing, including all the conclusions...

Thanks 🙂 But regarding specialization—how are we supposed to handle organized emergency care elsewhere when there isn't a doctor stationed in the ambulance?

I'm also genuinely curious about the whole liability issue—why shouldn't a nurse face sanctions or end up in court when a post-op complication arises that neither they nor the doctor caught?
And let's be real, surgical nurses wouldn't be lifting trauma patients off a stretcher quite so easily if they actually carried any legal responsibility for what happens next.

My apologies to everyone, I'm just a bit heated right now so I might be rambling a little too much...

Scott Allen10 said:Most of that is pretty much spot on. Under the current EU Directive regarding the mutual recognition of qualifications, an associate degree nurse just isn't recognized as a registered nurse within the European Union.
Even that Peer commission sent by the European Union to the US a while back—just to get a pulse on the nursing landscape here—confirmed the exact same thing.
What’s more, the entire educational framework for these nurses (the associate degree level) doesn't even fully meet the required standards. The credit hours aren't sufficient, and the amount of hands-on clinical training in the curriculum is nowhere near adequate.

Is there an official document somewhere where this is laid out? And what happens to all those associate degree nurses? Sure, maybe some will get their specializations approved, but what about everyone else?...

Also, is this going to be used to redefine nursing liability? It’s hard to work alongside people who believe they can't make a single mistake because, in their minds, the doctor is responsible for everything...

Maybe give Contractubex cream a shot—it actually worked wonders for me when I was trying to fade out a surgical scar

I've got maybe five or six of these white dots scattered around my body... wondering if there's any way to actually get the color back in those spots.

What if it isn't just scarring from chickenpox, but actually vitiligo?

If it really is just scars, you can find various creams over at the drugstore to help fade them—they won't magically disappear, obviously, but they might become less noticeable...
