Ashley Mitchell81 said:At one point tonight, the site was taking forever to load, probably because there were over 7,000 users and guests logged in at once. Now it’s dropped down to about 2,500, which is more like a normal baseline. The server is likely getting bogged down; they really need to clear out those massive archives and dead threads to free up some space. When a huge crowd hits all at once, it's like total gridlock on the I-95—just pure chaos.😁

Right now, life is just pure bliss.

Everything posted before 2011 needs to be moved over to a separate hard drive and put into the Reddit search engine.
Just reroute everything to the server and that specific drive. If we do that, those 7,000 users probably won't be such a headache anymore.
Why does it take like 30 or 40 seconds just to load any page on Fargo if I try to look at anything from 15 days ago? Every other site I visit loads in a second or two.
Did they switch servers or is something else broken?

Right-click on the desktop and go to View - auto Arrange Icons.

That option isn't even turned on. Every time I try to move a file back, it doesn't just snap back to where it was on my desktop like it should. I’m stuck having to manually drag it around with the mouse every single time.
Back to the old spot.

Ever since I installed Service Pack 1, my desktop icons have been acting completely possessed. They won't stay where I put them. For example, if I place a file in the top right corner, as soon as I open it and save it again, the system shoves it down to the bottom left instead of returning it to
its original spot. It works perfectly fine inside a folder, though. ("Kudos to those Microsoft developers," clearly.)

2. Hit Start, type "Restore" into the search bar, and once System Restore pops up at the top, click it to find the option to turn it off.

Thanks for the advice—it worked. A quick note on step 2: Why make it one single "step" when they could easily make it four or five? Bravo, Microsoft's programmers!!!

How do I shrink my desktop icons on Windows 7?
What's the easiest way to find Windows Restore and just shut it off?
