P2P security cameras in IT Support ·
Hey there.
I have two P2P cameras set up in my office for security. Usually, I just hop on them via my phone—they’re connected to the office Wi-Fi, and I use a P2P live cam app on my Android to check in using my 4G data. But about two weeks ago, everything changed. Now, I can only access them when I'm actually at the office on the same Wi-Fi network. We use AT&T here.
My question is: why can't I connect to my cameras over 4G anymore?
Did AT&T block those ports or something? And if they did, is there any way to "fix" it?
Thanks.

If Glary finds an error, let it try to fix it. It might not show up on my machine but could pop up on yours—or vice versa—since our setups aren't identical unless you happen to have the exact same laptop model and specs. Just give it a shot, it won't kill you, haha.
Also, get that RemoveWAT out of there. If it's blocking you from getting into the Control Panel or even just checking System Properties, it'll just leave everything blank. That might actually be tied to your Explorer issues.

Tried it, still the same result. Got rid of the wat, found a new loader7, installed everything... still broken.
Looks like a fresh install is my only option.

Is there any other way to register Windows 7 besides using wat?

Exactly.
I'm thinking it’s tied to that RemoveWAT tool—plus the fact that this is a pirated version.
Honestly, I don't see what else it could be. I just grabbed a fresh copy of Windows 7, so let's see how that goes.

Benjamin King2 said:Could you list your specs? Also—did you actually install the drivers, or are you just running whatever Microsoft threw at you by default?

I'm using the original drivers, but I don't think that's the issue—the exact same thing happens even before I install them.

From what I can tell, that's more of a registry editor. I don't really see why I'd need that since I just finished installing Windows and haven't even touched any other software yet.
Well, since I'm running out of options, I'll give it a go anyway—I'll let you know if it does the trick.

Hey everyone!
So, I recently finished installing Windows 7 and everything was running smooth—until I realized that whenever I right-click on my desktop, Windows Explorer Has STOPPED WORKING. Just total chaos.
I installed all the updates, but nothing changed—same old story. So, I decided to try a system restore back to the initial setup, just a clean install of Windows 7 without any extra software. That actually fixed it! Feeling pretty pumped about that, I started running my updates and reinstalling everything, making sure to right-click the desktop after every single step to double-check things were working. Once everything was finally back in place and looking good, I ran one last system restore just to be safe.
Of course things aren't perfect—I just realized that everything looks fine on my desktop, but the second I open a folder and try to right-click, the exact same thing happens again. 🙂

I found this file sitting in the system folder: C:\Windows\system32\en-US\erofflps.txt. Just thought I'd mention it—not sure if anyone else has run into this one yet!
I’ve been digging through some forums lately—it looks like a ton of people are running into this exact same issue—but I haven't stumbled across a solid fix yet.
It’s honestly fine if it happens once in a while—five times? Sure, I can live with that. But ten times? Not so much. I already went through the hassle of reinstalling Windows, and yet here we are, facing the exact same issue. It’s happening without me even touching any new software, so my best guess is that it isn't a driver problem.
Not sure if this is a Windows issue, some weird setting, or something else entirely—just trying to figure it out.
