I’m interested as well. I have experience with filming, editing, and acting.
It would be a fantastic idea if we all teamed up. Everyone could contribute their own unique touch, and I promise we’d end up with an incredible indie film.
So, what’s the premise of this short film of yours? What is it actually about?

All feedback is welcome, whether it’s constructive or blunt. We appreciate you taking the time, but please keep in mind that we're still just amateurs.
I’m open to making an arrangement. If you're genuinely interested, I can certainly send them over to you.
As I mentioned before, you can find the film ČEHALJEC on the www.virje.hr website.

It could probably screen in San Francisco, though the language barrier might be a bit of a buzzkill—even if it isn't a huge deal. Our films are heavily rooted in regional dialect, much like how local residents speak in certain parts of the Midwest, but they are packed with plenty of humor.
True, but they have much better production capabilities, which is pretty evident from what's been shared. It’s a lot easier to pull off projects like that when you have those kinds of resources at your disposal.
True, but at the end of the day, it still feels pretty amateurish.
Our core crew usually numbers around 15 people, though we typically bring on another 20 or 30 freelancers for each project to get the job done.
I generally handle the cinematography, editing, and a few acting roles, while also stepping in as one of the directors.
If anyone is interested in seeing our second film, you can find it on the local news outlet website www.virje.hr under the title ČEHALJEC
We’re currently working on a comedy about vineyard workers.
Our focus is strictly on comedies—think along the lines of something capturing the vibe of a small-town local resident,
since that's our bread and butter.
With our previous film, a project by a local organization, we managed to recoup over $333 of our investment through regional theater screenings and CD sales, totaling more than 14 $0.00.
So, looking at those numbers, you tell me: is it worth it?
I’m from a small town just outside of a small city. It isn't actually that far from Chicago.
Hey everyone!
Has anyone else here tried their hand at making amateur films?
I have personally completed two feature-length projects, and I'm currently working on my third. Of course, I don't work entirely alone. My second film was actually featured on a local news outlet!
