By the way, regarding that bracket you have... what socket does that mount actually fit? It really isn't that pricey... and honestly, I wasn't planning on selling this bracket, but I'll hit you up if I'm heading over to VE-MIL; if I find one like yours, I might just give this one to you for free..... 😁
It didn't quite fit my 939 setup, so I ended up mounting it to the case instead, and then I used the original case mount on the passive heatsink for my graphics card (it's an NVIDIA GeForce equivalent)

I see this thread is getting lively again, which honestly works for me 👍 since I'm right there in the trenches with you all. To make a long story short... I've been MIA for a while, so I figured it was time to check back in with some minor updates on my rig. There's still plenty of work to do—I've got some Thermal coolers and a bunch of other gear lined up—but finding the actual time to sit down and do it is the real struggle. Catch you later...

It would be awesome if you looped that section between the RAM and the power supply, maybe run some plex along the bottom and mount a fan right on top of it. I actually thought about doing the exact same thing, but my case has this rounded "roof" design that makes it impossible... so there goes that idea. Anyway, your NFS build isn't bad at all 😁

I honestly can't believe nobody on this forum has anything interesting to contribute to this topic... Come on, you electronics geeks, throw out some cool circuit diagrams... maybe some tutorials on how to build them or something similar... it doesn't all have to be about "CASES"... give us some inspiration so people actually start modding their rigs... I know I will... haha 👍

I don't really obsess over PC Modding anymore, though. Isn't that enough when it comes to aesthetics? Besides, isn't the stuff inside actually what matters? You shouldn't go overboard with all that internal clutter because you end up absolutely killing your airflow.

It’s all fine, I guess, but isn't the whole point of MODDING that handmade touch? Your case is dark... good choice.. 👍

I actually need to reinstall my coolers and those round IDE cables, plus ditch this white floppy drive—had to pull them out by accident, don't ask—so I'll get some photos over to you guys after Monday... and I'll make sure to deal with the dust too... haha....

Is that a straw or am I just seeing things? Anyway, if you really want to go all out, why don't you find some more of those straws and wrap them around that one so you can thicken the layer and hide the cables? Peace!

Well, that floppy disk was the only thing I had within reach when I needed it, so I just tossed it in there... there's definitely going to be more work to do on it later, though. Peace.

Regarding the LEDs, I just used that insanely bright diode from the power button and aimed it at the wall (check out image http://i167.photobucket.com/albums/u...88/kuci010.jpg). See that blue streak behind the case? That’s what happens when the HDD isn't busy, and it flashes whenever there's a load. Now I'm considering grabbing a purple diode and swapping it in for the PWR LED.

It's incredibly simple—just find the two wires running from the motherboard to the LED you want to swap, snip them with scissors, and solder them (though you don't even have to solder, just crimping them works), then point them wherever you feel like.

Also, where did you get those thin little tubes you ran through to connect the case cables to the motherboard (those blue ones)?

For the "SYC" lettering, I found some black adhesive vinyl at a local craft store... it was a bit thicker than standard paper... I printed the letters on regular white paper, stuck them to the back of the vinyl, and then carefully cut them out with scissors. It was a massive pain in the neck just for three letters, but it was worth it (as long as you have thick enough vinyl, everything else is easy).

Those blue tubes... haha... they're just ordinary blue straws... nothing fancy at all. 👍
