Sports nutrition advice? in Hobbies & Leisure ·
I don’t have any particular experience playing around with fat burners. Personally, when I’m working on leaning out, I put in my time—about an hour and twenty minutes of steady riding on the stationary bike or the elliptical, followed by roughly twenty minutes of weight training, every single day. Given that routine, I honestly don't see the point in even looking at fat burner supplements.
But look, if you’re going to insist on staying bulky while simultaneously trying to use a fat burner, you might as well just throw your cash straight into the trash.
It’s a simple matter of physics and choice: you either go for size, or you go for cutting down the fat...

Fat simply cannot be converted into muscle tissue.
You either commit to cutting weight or you train specifically for hypertrophy—I wouldn't advise trying to chase both at once.
For the first one or two months while you're shedding fat, you should aim for at least 40 minutes of aerobic work after each session, paired with about 20 minutes of light resistance training. Once the fat is gone, then you can shift your full focus to heavy lifting.
Furthermore, if you’ve never been an athlete before and you're hitting the gym four days in a row, you are overdoing it; you're heading straight for burnout or injury.
Also, just grab a larger tub of whey protein and some multivitamins. A standard whey concentrate or isolate from a brand like Optimum Nutrition will serve you just fine without breaking the bank.

Why stop there? Go for a full 360! 🙂

If you were a woman, I’d suggest stripping down completely just to test your agility 🙂)

As for explosiveness—sure, there’s a connection there, but that wasn't the question at hand, was it?
In my book, if you want true agility, try working with resistance bands or practicing combat drills. Try doing ten consecutive rounds in a single direction and then come talk to me about seeing stars.

Weights are just as critical to the equation...
Personally, I simply cannot bring myself to train, even if I had the strongest willpower in the world... 😢
Stretch Marks: Dealing with Cracked Skin in Hobbies & Leisure ·
Honestly, I’m at a loss for words here.
I’m feeling incredibly on edge today, and even these damn skin breakouts are pushing me over the limit.
To be perfectly blunt, everything is getting under my skin right now.
It looks like I might actually need to go see a dermatologist.

So, how on earth does one actually go about getting some collagen?

To be honest, I haven't actually tried them myself, so I can't vouch for their effectiveness. You might also look into jojoba oil; I keep some on hand, and the label claims it works for stretch marks too. I’ve applied it to my backside a few times, though I tend to forget most days, so I’m really not sure how much of a difference it makes. That said, it does feel like they might be looking a little less prominent lately.

If you need someone to remind you, I’m happy to volunteer to rub your butt for you! 😁 hahaha

Look, let’s cut to the chase here. I don't care about the specific reasons behind it—whether we're talking about weight gain, rapid growth spurts, or just heavy bodybuilding progress...
In my particular situation, it's all down to my height; I'm standing at 6'4", which is pretty much permanent, but I've ended up with these stretch marks right where my massive chest muscles meet my arms—more towards the side of the arm, actually.
So, I wanted to reach out and see if anyone here has dealt with this. What works? Are we looking at topical creams, specific dietary changes, or something else entirely?
I'm talking to everyone here—expectant mothers, bodybuilders, whoever. Just looking for some real-world advice.
Thanks,😘
