Local Pilates Studio Recommendations?

It was actually pretty good—the instructors are nice and easy to talk to—but the price for Pilates is definitely overkill. As if that wasn't enough, they charge you extra for a "pre-Pilates" session where you just stretch around with someone for 15 or 20 minutes so they can figure out which group fits you best (AND THEY ACTUALLY CHARGE YOU $17 FOR THAT!). In the end, you just pick the time and class that works for you. Honestly, that intro session should've been free!
I think you can find much better options in Chicago for that kind of money!
And the worst part is they don't even give you a formal receipt for what you pay; they just act like they have some little notebook where they jot everything down.
Everything is great until you've been going for more than four months, then you start noticing these weird spikes in cost.
Also, I get the feeling the owners have their own personal issues to work out, because clients end up getting caught in the middle of their drama, and all you get in return are cold stares.
But to be fair, they really do know what they're doing—you can definitely work up a serious sweat during those sessions.
