Wacom graphics tablet

Does anyone here use the Wacom Intuos4 tablet pretty often? I'm thinking about picking up the "large" version, but while I was browsing online for some reviews, I ran into so many people complaining about how fast the pen nibs wear down!
Apparently, it's because the surface is matte and feels rougher than previous generations, and since the replaceable nib itself is soft... well, they say they noticed significant wear on the tip after just a few hours of work and might need to buy a new pack within a month (especially since the Intuos4 comes with 10 nibs). Just for comparison, back when I had an Intuos3 tablet, a single nib would last me months!
It wouldn't be a huge deal if it weren't for the fact that constantly ordering those little things ends up being pretty expensive, especially considering the tablet itself is already super pricey.
Anyway.. does anyone here have any actual experience with Intuos4 tablets? Are those nibs really wearing out that quickly, or is everyone on these forums just overreacting a bit?
