AutoCAD vs. Microsoft Visio in Software ·
hollowhound30 said:Ugh... look, buddy, you’re talking a big game here, but you clearly have NO clue why I’m dragging this topic out across this massive forum... It’s because my company DOES NOT own AutoCAD!!!... Maybe if they did, the boss MIGHT actually buy it, but this idiot is just rooting for "easy" Vision because it suits him—he's basically stuck in his ways and just wants to coast until retirement... Anyway, that's why I'm asking all the well-meaning colleagues—and even the ones who think they know everything—what they actually think about this thread... which program is TRULY better for electrical layouts... give me an objective answer, if you can..

Of course, whatever works best for you... For the kind of work you do, I bet Vision is plenty, but once you're forced to step up to a more heavy-duty program, you're gonna be screwed... At least that's my two cents, though I don't really do much drawing in CAD myself...

In my opinion, CAD is leagues ahead—you can do basically anything in it, whereas Vision is super limited... Honestly, I can't even wrap my head around how you'd draw electrical schematics or control panels in Vision... Isn't it totally useless for stuff like that? I mean, I have no idea...

Just go see a chiropractor with an X-ray in hand and they'll pop everything back into place for you...

Look, I actually went because I was dealing with the exact same thing. Turns out, it’s just how I was born—structural stuff—so there isn't really a "fix" for it. My buddy suggested hitting up a chiropractor to get my spine aligned. Sure, the pain vanished for a second, but it was just a temporary fix... though my situation is a bit different than yours.

I’ve been there myself. It's a little pricey just to have someone press on you for five minutes, but everyone in town swears by them—it's not some random guy working out of his garage, either. Dude studied for five years in the States and all that... legit professional stuff.

If the mods nuked the link, just shoot me a PM...
