Finally, the forum is running smoothly again,
I’m hopeful this stability actually sticks 😬
Does anyone happen to know where I can pick up an official Team USA water polo cap? 🙏 🙏 🙏
Does anyone happen to have a link for a decent stream?
Where can I pick up some Black Devil cigarettes? Those are the ones with the vanilla flavor, right?

Try hitting the F11 key once you've got IE open.

Nice work, genius.🙏 🙏

Not quite.
It only seems to happen when I'm using Internet Explorer; everything runs perfectly fine in Mozilla. 🤷

Does anyone have a less aggressive solution?
I haven't even created a System Restore point, so none of that will work here.

Start Menu 😁

I clearly clicked something I shouldn't have. Now, whenever I launch an application—say, Internet Explorer or VLC Media Player—the taskbar just vanishes. To even get back to the Start menu, I have to hit the sleep button on my keyboard (or whatever that key is called).
Any idea how I can get my taskbar back to normal? 😁

Let me set the record straight: SP1 does not include KB971033. I misspoke earlier because that's how I initially interpreted the documentation.

If you check this Excel sheet "Hotfixes and Security Updates included in Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2 Service Pack 1", you'll see that specific update isn't listed there.

If it’s missing from your update history, that actually confirms it. 😉

It makes no difference whether you're running Windows 7 32-bit or 64-bit.

Regarding KB971033:
Just so you know, Service Pack 1 already includes that specific update. 😉

Everything seems to be running just fine, same as before the SP1 install. 😉

I have SP1 installed, but I can't find KB971033 listed in my Windows Update history. 🤷
Does it matter that I'm running the 64-bit version of Windows 7? 🤷

It’s still giving me hell. 🙄 🤷

Note: You can download a preview release of Flash Player with the codename "Square." This release includes full support for 64-bit web browsers 😉

This whole situation has been a massive headache for me too.🙏

Check out this guide on installing Windows 7 service pack 1

Thanks, 👍

And you too, Taylor Doyle79? Just like that old lady wandering into the wrong shop, showing up here to ask where to download service pack 1. 😂

I mean, come on, you can just grab it from the internet. Where else would you even go to download it? 🤣

Look:

Are you serious? You're telling me that actually happened over the internet? 😲😲 Good grief. 😲

🤣
I'm well aware it was pulled from the web. I was actually asking about the specific source or site where it was hosted, but fine, let's move on. 😁

Hey man, where exactly am I supposed to click to see an image like that? 😁

Where can I download SP1 for this week? 🤷 😬 Everything else usually updates without any issues.

-We were having a little debate at work about web browsers today. I mentioned how much I actually like Internet Explorer 9, only to have some "know-it-all" woman jump in and start claiming it’s total garbage. She insisted that IE will never be on the same level as Mozilla and will never catch up, citing all the forums she reads and people she talks to who agree with her 😕 while she just uses Chrome 😁
I just stood there looking stunned, so I eventually just said, "Fair enough."

How does IE9 hold up regarding security? Is it a complete joke compared to Firefox 🙂

Internet Explorer 9
I head over to CNN.com and try to load a video, but I just get hit with this error:
a problem caused the program to stop working correctly. windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.
close program 😠
It keeps popping up constantly, even though I make sure Adobe Flash Player is updated regularly. 🤷

You can still see images, right? 😉

The issue is likely that under Tools, Internet Options, Advanced (Settings), you have the checkbox checked next to "Show pictures" in the Multimedia section; try unchecking it, hit Apply, then OK.

If you do that and open a webpage with images, you'll just see those empty placeholders. You could right-click one of those boxes and select "Show picture" to see it.🙂

Look, friend, you're right, but I think I phrased things poorly. 👍
What I actually mean is: how do I get the direct link to an image itself (so when I want to send it to someone, I can show them just the picture)? 🙂
It's like when I'm using Firefox (on Facebook or somewhere else) and I right-click an image and select "View Image"—it opens just the image by itself, and then I can simply copy the URL from the address bar at the top.
I hope you catch my drift. 😁

Internet Explorer 9😁

Whenever I right-click, the "show picture" option pops up, but it’s completely useless. It won't work on any images at all—whether they're on a forum, a profile pic, or just browsing Google.🤷

If I right-click on a different page number within this thread, the context menu gives me the option to "Open in new tab," among other things. 🙂

Haha, man, you've gotta be kidding me. Seriously? 🤣
I’m pretty sure someone spiked my drink with a joint last night. 😁

Internet Explorer 9 is fantastic; it feels like I suddenly have way more screen real estate 😁
but, the only thing (for now 😬) bugging me is that it lacks the "open in new tab" option when I right-click, which I'm used to in Firefox 🤔
