I’d suggest the OP head over to a health forum like WebMD to ask which type of anesthesia is best; I remember some people suggesting general anesthesia, though I’m not sure if that really beats local or an epidural.
I know a buddy of mine had an epidural for knee surgery, and man, he dealt with quite a few complications… 🤔
At the end of the day, you get anesthesia so it doesn't hurt—even if there's a bit of a sting once it starts wearing off. That's just how it goes. There shouldn't be anything more intense than that regarding the Hymen.
