COVID-19 updates and discussion in Health ·
I’d love to get some perspective on this. We have several units in our building that are rented out to students, and the landlords just gave notice to cancel those leases so they can go all-in on complete renovations. Look, I get it—everyone has to update their place eventually. But honestly, given how many people are working remotely right now and the fact that our kids are doing school from home, you don't need me to tell you how infuriating this is. Imagine trying to focus while a small army of contractors descends on the place, jackhammers are shaking the entire building, and there's a constant cloud of dust drifting through the hallways while everyone is stuck inside. My neighbors are losing their minds, and since the owners don't even live here, they couldn't care less about the chaos they're causing. I don't know if anyone else has ever actually tried to hop on a Zoom call from the middle of a construction zone, or if you'd rather just skip that particular horror show. Personally, I feel like there should be some kind of local ordinance or regulation passed to postpone non-essential construction work during times like this.

Check Home Depot or Lowe's—usually runs about $20.

Where in the city can I pick up these kinds of insurance policies? Ideally somewhere near Central Park, though I'm open to suggestions.

I’m not 100% sure if they're exactly identical—someone just described them to me verbally—and I'm heading out today to check things out myself, but basically... where does one buy stuff like this in the States?

I'm definitely not part of any industry circles, so I don't really know the local shops... I checked online at places like Walgreens and Best Buy, but from what I could see, they don't seem to carry them there.

Unscrew that fuse and check the amperage. If you can't tell or can't read it, just head over to the hardware store near the park; there's usually a guy in a shop on the east side of the lot who carries this kind of thing—basically a local hardware haunt. 👍
