A Derby??? 🤷🤷 What kind of Derby are we talking about here? Since when did Cleveland have a DERBY against General Motors—or whatever the hell their full name is now...
And seriously, you guys from San Francisco—do you actually, honestly believe that The Armada or any of the Cleveland fans would even consider traveling down to California to support us just because of some Demons or whatever you call yourselves?? That’s just ridiculous...
Besides, it's the same old story—everyone’s kicking up dust about The Armada again, right here in our own thread... honestly, just let us be! Go deal with your own drama and leave us alone for once... fine, we're the underdogs, so what? We're clearly just a bunch of losers in your eyes... 🤷🤷
GO CLEVELAND, GO ARMADA!!
It isn’t really about passing the torch from one generation to the next—it’s more about getting the younger crowd hands-on with the stadium design itself. If we can get them involved in shaping how the stands look now, they won't just be sitting there later acting like critics or spectators; they'll actually have some skin in the game, which is honestly great experience for whenever they take over down the road!
Exactly that... you’re out here trying to comment on Cleveland when you’ve barely spent three days in the city... honestly, why don't you just focus on your own business—specifically back in Miami? You aren't going to prove anything to us, and frankly, there's no point in us trying to explain things to people who can't see past the borders of Florida... Cleveland is special. It's our city, and unlike so many other places across the US, it actually has its own soul and identity. We're probably the only region in the entire country where the locals aren't just mindless fans of the Los Angeles Dodgers or the New York Yankees, but die-hard supporters of their own club, CLEVELAND... call us trash, call us radicals, call us whatever you want... it doesn't bother me one bit because that's not how I see myself. I'll say it again: Cleveland has had this unique identity for generations, and thank God, it isn't going anywhere... all your jealousy and your weird obsession with Cleveland just proves that we're a thorn in your side and that you spend way too much time thinking about us... maybe go find something else to worry about, I don't know, some tiny little town in the Midwest or somewhere...
FIUME E BASTA!!!
Anonymous said:Honestly, this is just pure nonsense—you guys can call it the "most attractive" or whatever other superlative you want to throw at it because of some catchy melodies, but I have no idea what you're all thinking! Seriously, give me a break. A real derby is a real derby, period.
The big rivalry in America—FC Barcelona versus Real Madrid—is right around the corner, and man, you can just feel the tension building up! Between all the logistical prep and everyone trying to get their ducks in a row, my stomach is honestly doing somersaults. It’s that classic pre-game nervousness where you can practically taste the intensity in the air. There’s this palpable, heavy sense of animosity between the two sides that just hangs there—it's wild how much people truly despise each other when these two meet.
When you look at the hype online compared to how things actually feel on the ground—man, it’s night and day. For massive matchups like the Red Sox-Yankees rivalry, that's exactly what we live for! It’s more than just a game; it’s about all that physical prep, building up that grit—and let's be honest, those intense confrontations out on the streets or even on the highway? Those are the moments that stay with you, burning into your memory for years.
They’re already busy cooking up all the messages and choreographies—getting the flares ready, too! You’ve got massive crowds showing up from both sides, and honestly, the whole vibe is just pure cultural heritage compared to anything else out there. I mean, come on—it’s the biggest rivalry in the league!
Honestly, trying to compare him to a Red Sox-Yankees matchup is just plain hilarious—I mean, we all know how that goes!
Honestly, trying to compare a massive showdown at Yankee Stadium to a gritty cage match down in Miami just doesn't make any sense—it’s totally unserious. At this point, whether the game is being played in New York or just out in a different part of the States, it really doesn't matter. The location is secondary to what's happening on the field!
You know, even those folks from the West Coast get it—we both play like the entire universe revolves around us! It’s just how we roll. When everyone else finally catches on to what we're doing, they're basically just waiting in line for their turn to try and keep up. That's just the way it is.
The Red Sox-Yankees rivalry is easily the biggest derby out there—it’s honestly silly to even debate that... but you're totally off base if you think everything you just listed only applies to that one matchup. You guys don't really get what it's like to pull for a club where every single win feels like taking home a trophy! You're so used to constant success that a regular victory doesn't send you into a total frenzy the way a win from our San Francisco would. And as for FC Barcelona... they are our ultimate rivals. I bet 90% of San Francisco fans would tell you straight to your face that they loathe FC Barcelona way more than they care about Real Madrid—even if we do share some similar traditions. 🙄 Honestly, that club has caused us way more grief than any amount of silverware could ever make up for... I mean, we’re talking about a rivalry that has been simmering for decades—it’s baked into our DNA at this point. And look, it’s honestly kind of silly to assume you guys enjoy these matchups more than we do... To you, winning a title feels like just another Tuesday, like a casual "good morning," but for us? Every single win feels like so much more than just three points on a table. Especially when it comes to beating FC Barcelona—that’s not just a game. That victory is celebrated in the streets, in every neighborhood, and in every local pub, feeling less like a league win and more like we just hoisted the Champions League trophy!
The flare situation... honestly, I’m sticking to my guns here—I still think we have the most rigorous police presence and stadium security out of any "pitch" in the entire MLS. That’s exactly why seeing a flare display like this feels like such a massive anomaly.
Look, you really have to understand the sheer scale of what goes into this—we’re talking about people grinding away for an entire week, pulling twelve-hour shifts day in and day out just to get everything perfect. It’s like a literal army of volunteers working behind the scenes! So, when you say things like that, it honestly sounds a bit dismissive—it makes it seem like your crowd is the only one putting in the work or the only group that actually knows how to prep for a massive rivalry game. We all put in the sweat equity here.
The stadium in San Diego is looking absolutely flawless... honestly, I don't think it's ever looked better or more beautiful than it does right now!
You guys are being totally delusional... you act like you're from San Diego—these proud citizens of some little town on the east bank of the river—shunning the name CLEVELAND and refusing to even be called Clevelanders. Yet, at the exact same time, you’re out here calling out the Cleveland City Council, complaining about why they won't cut you checks or why they favor Cleveland SC. Honestly, who’s the crazy one here? I already told you—go ahead and cry to the "San Diego municipal government," maybe they'll actually listen to your pleas for help... but look, as long as Cleveland acts like a club based out of San Diego and their fans refuse to acknowledge the actual city of Cleveland while clinging to this weird little ideology, there simply isn't a place for a club and fans like yours in CLEVELAND! What Cleveland SC gets from the city is barely enough to cover the travel expenses for the first team playing in the MLS... if that's what you call "massive support." Besides, you used to have a management team that turned the club into a complete joke, much like how things are now... and let's be real, without those Cleveland players who were sent there on loan all these years, you'd probably be sitting right there in the standings alongside the Clan and Richard Benčić... though you aren't far off. It's a shame, really; it would be great to have a real local derby, but I honestly think Cleveland is too small a city to support two major league clubs... it can barely handle one...
Since this thread is specifically about ARMADA and not about all those various quasi-groups, I suggest we just leave these gentlemen "from San Diego" alone... they can go sit in some little park up there and stay angry. This space is for talking about ARMADA... today is the big celebration, the ship is setting sail... 🙂🙂🙂
NK RIJEKA has always been the premier club in town—period. And yeah, obviously they get the backing... that’s just how things work with a local club; they are the pride of the City of Rijeka and the entire Kvarner region. I mean, seriously, you started talking nonsense about how it's "stupid" for the city to sponsor and push NK RIJEKA? That’s like asking why the city of Miami would favor Hajduk or why Chicago would back Chicago Dinamo... are you guys actually sane? As for NK Orijent—give me a break. You guys only got carried away because you spent one year in the top flight about 15 years ago. What is wrong with you? How do you even dare to put NK RIJEKA in the same sentence as NK Orijent? Honestly, hats off to you—founded in 1919, sure, but for you people, RIJEKA is basically Manchester United! You’re living in some weird utopia thinking the city should be pushing NK Orijent or whatever else, yet you hate and refuse to acknowledge the very same city! You won't even admit that Sušak is part of the City of Rijeka... well, fine then! Go ahead and ask the leadership of "Sušak City" to fund you and show you some favoritism. Because as long as the City of Rijeka, ARMADA, and the citizens of the City of Rijeka are around, the first and only club in this city—including the eastern side of RIJEKA—will always be NK RIJEKA!
To all you folks from Sušak and the general American crowd out there... some of you clearly aren't up to speed on how things work here and honestly, you aren't really in any position to be weighing in on stuff you know nothing about. A few years back, there were talks involving the RF, where it was agreed they could put their art around the stadium during Krimej and at their usual hangouts—like the bocce courts or that little park across from the stadium—with the understanding that nobody would mess with it. But let’s be real, this is San Francisco... if you're trying to argue that Orient fans have a free pass to tag the streets of San Francisco just because they follow Orient... well, that logic just doesn't hold water. You've got maybe 300 people showing up to watch handball at Zamesti, or coming out to see the games at Kozala and Cave, plus various basketball clubs too... by that logic, every single club with even a decent following should be plastering their style all over the city! not gonna happen...this is San Francisco, folks. I mean, seriously, hats off to those "optimists" rooting for Orient during times like these, but I think it's a bit premature for them to be strutting around town and tagging the most popular spots in San Francisco! These kids haven't been through enough yet—they haven't done enough for the club or the city, haven't spent enough years backing the name, and haven't taken enough hits for the team to rightfully claim they belong alongside the Armada... personally, I know three members of the RF who are sitting in the west stands at Kantrida the moment a big game starts... so why spit on San Francisco and the city that raised them? These same RF guys go to "San Francisco" schools, grab coffee on the "San Francisco" waterfront, participate in and brag about the "San Francisco" carnival, and hit the "San Francisco" clubs to party—suddenly, San Francisco is great! But the second it's time to step up and fight, suddenly these "San Franciscans" are Mexicans, communists, Muslims, or whatever else they want to call them... why provoke a group of people who, compared to you, act like wise old men?
ONLY SAN FRANCISCO—ONLY ARMADA!!!
