Man, electric bikes... Honestly, I’d rather just rig up one of those old-school dynamos that lets me generate my own power by pedaling—you know, just enough to keep my lights on or charge a phone. 😉

The reality is, the job is out in some tiny rural town with maybe 50 people, but the apartment would be in a city of about 200,000. 😉

Looks like I’ll be relocating to a super flat part of the country for about three months due to work. My place is going to be a bit of a trek from the office 33 miles. It’s all paved roads out there—mostly side streets—and the elevation is basically zero, maybe hitting a whopping 18 meters at most 😁.
The plan is to pick up a cheap road bike over there and use it for my daily commute 31 miles. I can handle flat terrain for two hours straight without breaking a sweat, but 329 miles I definitely need to build up some stamina. I'll probably ease into it—maybe one ride the first week, two the second, three the third, and so on...
