Endocrinology and birth control pills

I'm pretty sure you have to get your sex hormones checked on day 5 of your period if you're on birth control. At least, that’s what the doctors—and even the lab techs—keep telling me. I've been on Diane for almost 10 years now, excluding a two-year break for pregnancy and breastfeeding, but I’ve always made sure to get my levels tested that way while I was taking them.
