If they were already regular, they should have normalized by now, but if they weren't, you probably need to get your hormones checked out.
For me, I stopped taking birth control two months ago because I had to go in for surgery. My doctor immediately put me on Duphaston right away, so I had my period last month while on it, and thank God, this month it came normally.
I was on them for almost 10 years. I originally started on Cinderella for contraception, and when I first stopped after four years, my period completely vanished—I'd maybe get it four times a year. Not to mention the issues I had with acne on my face; it was pretty terrible, so I switched to Diane. But Diane gave me awful headaches, so I switched back to Cinderella, and I’ve been on that for the last four years until two months ago. Now I'm just hoping things stabilize, because like I said, there's no way I'm ever going back on pills, even if I only end up getting my period twice a year.😁
They weren't perfectly on schedule—sometimes there was a difference of a few days—but I always got them. It’s never been like this. I deal with skin issues too, but honestly, if the pills caused this mess, how are they supposed to fix my condition? For instance, if I take them again for another two years, what happens when I stop again and everything reverts? I can't exactly stay on them for the rest of my life, right?

I'm asking because my OB-GYN is suggesting I start birth control to get my cycle under control. When I asked about side effects, he told me there aren't any. But then I come on here and read posts where girls are saying, "Never again with the pill!"
So, what's the deal? Why?
Because everything was fine for me while I was on them, but once I stopped, my skin cleared up just to have more issues with my cycle. Everyone reacts differently, I guess—it's all very individual—but personally, I really don't want to go back on them.
So, I stopped taking birth control pills a little over six months ago. After that, I didn't get my period for three months, so my OB-GYN prescribed some Duphaston. Of course, I had some bleeding after taking them, but since then, my cycle hasn't been normal at all. This is actually the third time now where, instead of a regular period, I just get this light spotting—more like discharge, really. I’m wondering if things will eventually level out on their own? I really don't want to go back on the pill, especially since my doctor said she'd put me back on them if my cycle stays irregular. I just don't want to be stuck taking stuff that caused this mess in the first place.
This movie was great... I honestly laughed so hard my stomach actually started hurting! It's such a solid choice if you just want to unwind.
I took a hit from them too. At first, I kept digging into the issue, which probably just made things flare up, but now that I’ve stopped messing with it, things have calmed down a bit. They're still there, though. As for my weight, I haven't really had any issues with that, so it’s pretty much the same situation. I guess I'm just wondering how long it actually takes for my body to clear this out—when is it finally going to go away?
It’s the same exact issues. About six months ago, I stopped taking birth control, and now I’m breaking out with these tiny little pimples in places where I never used to have acne—mostly along my jawline and on my cheeks. I’ve been trying to clear it up with micellar water and drinking a ton of water; it helps a little bit, I guess, but they aren't going away. On top of all that, my cycle is completely messed up. There was one time I didn't even have a period for three months... honestly, those pills are the worst. Never again.
