Period talk: Questions and advice in Women's Health ·
😕Ugh... I honestly have no idea what I should do yet...
I’ll probably just end up suffering through my period... grrrr😠
Thanks for all the advice and for sharing your experiences : )

Up until now, I’ve just been using the Canesten vaginal suppositories—you know, the ones where you just use the applicator without any cream.
I accidentally picked up a combo pack last time, so I finished all the suppositories, but now I'm just sitting here with this tube of cream left over.
Is the cream strictly for external use?
Everything feels fine at the moment, but if I notice that "discharge" starting up again, could I just use the cream as a preventative measure? Like, if it works, great... but if not, then I'll go see my OBGYN...?
Best,🙂

So... I’m supposed to start a new pack without any break... three days on, seven days off... and then back to a new box? But how am I even supposed to pick up a new prescription at the CVS when they log every single purchase date and the pharmacist keeps a strict eye on it to make sure a full month has actually passed? :)
And goodness, can it please be less intense... it’s flowing like a literal waterfall, haha... plus, I can't even rely on a tampon for those first three days... because within fifteen minutes, I'd have to swap out even the biggest one I own!?

I'm feeling a bit torn...
So, my period is scheduled to show up right when I really don't want it to this month...
It’s not an absolute emergency or anything, but I would love to push it back just a couple of days—specifically two!
Here’s the thing... I take Yasmin, and the instructions make it sound so simple—they basically say if you want to delay your period, just skip the break and start the next pack immediately. And if you actually *want* your period to start, you just stop taking the pills.
Does that mean instead of taking my usual week off, I’d just grab three pills from the new pack to bridge the gap, and then take my seven-day break after that???
The manual makes it sound so casual! But honestly, it's not that simple for me. We're talking about my body and hormones and all that stuff...
I’m a little nervous about messing anything up. Everything has been totally fine and regular so far, and ever since I started these, I haven't had those awful cramps I used to deal with every single month—back before the pills, I was practically living on three different types of heavy-duty painkillers every day during the first two days of my cycle.

Has anyone here actually tried delaying their period before?
Please, I could really use some advice or even just some reassurance...
🙂
Best!
