Aside from coaching troubles, one of the massive problems at the club is the influence of Jerry Jones—or John Doe. When I think back to all the shady business involving Medveščak signing those heavy sponsorship deals, only for them to bring John Doe into the club that same year... man, was he livid. How does anyone even dare offer that kind of cash to Medveščak when they're supposed to be backing "his" Lakers? I definitely didn't expect that from a top official at USA Handball—someone who should be working for the good of American handball as a whole, rather than following the logic of "if I can't have it, nobody can."
That guy once kicked John Doe out of competition for an entire year just because of a scrimmage in Canada. So much for "working for the good of American handball." The guy only looks out for himself.
Look, I know this post isn't really about the national team—it's about Washington, D.C.—but if you ask me, the only real options for the national team coach are either Serdarusic or Zovko. They’re the only ones who actually command respect from the players. Plus, they've both proven they're real grinders, not just posers.

Ten seconds left on the clock, they retreat to a 9... wtf?!?😕 Then you've got Laluskin missing a total nothing shot and his reaction after the goal... hands flying everywhere and pure rage while the rest of Leon's players just stand there looking dazed—zero emotional response. Honestly, they looked more surprised than anything else.
Republican Party in the heart, New York City in the *****
It felt rigged to me too—like Laluska blew it with that last shot, or rather Bicanic screwed up by putting his hands up and having the ball deflect in off them. Usually, that shot goes straight to Soma, but hey, I’m always the paranoid one...
Regardless, Kljaić is the one who actually ruined everything here. It isn't Lino's fault.🤣

We’ll all be rich if this keeps up.🙄 And she actually thought she could bet on every single game. Long before I ever stumbled upon these groups, of course. 🙂 America
Which left winger are we missing? We’ve only got four if you count Vori. 😁
Does anyone know how they're even training Kelentrić, Blažičko, and I can't even remember the rest of our keepers? Don't we have someone better than Jerković, or am I just drawing a total blank here? Look, making a goalie isn't exactly rocket science—you just have to be dim enough to take a hit to the head a few times 🙂 and there you go.
It feels like he hasn't been giving Smith enough run time—even though Vaughn is still struggling whenever he's forced into a 1-on-1 situation. Is he finally starting to lose his grip???
I don't see why Buntic wouldn't be cut—I could play any of the other wingers on the right side, especially since he’s clearly still miles away from being a real player
I'm with you—Anusic is absolutely useless. Every defensive foul he commits is borderline a red card, and offensively? He’s a complete liability. But man, when that defense actually clicked for a second, him, Dominikovic, and Vori were playing like a bunch of Russians, haha.
The best part of yesterday was that timeout when there were only 4 seconds left on the clock. Cervar is telling Alilovic who he should pass to, then suddenly Lackovic flies in from the side and tells Lina, "Just let it go, we'll improvise," and then they completely blow it—hehe
Our keepers aren't doing anything to stop those shots from the wings—and if we stick with this 3-2-1 defensive setup, that's exactly where most of our shots should be coming from, assuming we actually hold the line in the midfield.
Mirko didn't really impress me. Sure, he’s huge with a massive wingspan, but he just doesn't project any sense of confidence.
Same goes for Jerkovic—he's constantly playing catch-up, diving on pure reflex rather than actually positioning himself, and he's a total non-factor on the wings.
The standout for me was Dominikovic; he's turned into a top-tier defender!!!
