I’m on Loestrin, and honestly, I’ve dealt with those kinds of spotting episodes a few times myself. I went to see my doctor about it, and she just brushed it off as "breakthrough bleeding," saying it’s perfectly normal.
She did mention that if it starts getting under my skin, she could switch me over to a different brand of pills.
But really, it happens so infrequently that I can't be bothered to go through the hassle of switching medications, especially since I don't have any other side effects.
So, nothing to worry about.

😢

I’m honestly just shaken up that such an incredible girl is gone.
My heart goes out to her family.
Abortion discussion in Women's Health ·
Look, if you happen to be pregnant—though I have my doubts—abortion should really only be handled in hospitals. From what I hear, though, plenty of private clinics are willing to do it on the side for their regular patients.
My understanding is that it can be done up to about 10 weeks along. Physically, you’re looking at maybe two hours in a clinic or hospital, then a day at home while you finish up some antibiotics.
But honestly? Watch out for the mental toll. I know people who just never truly recovered, people who never quite found their way back to who they were before everything happened.

Hang in there. 🙂

If you say you feel fine at 100 degrees, then fine, believe it. My doctor told me if there was actually something wrong, my blood work would show it. Honestly, some people run a 95-degree fever and don't even blink, so what's the big deal...

frozenbison122 said:My doctor just listened to my lungs, told me everything sounded fine, and basically said there's no point in wasting everyone's time by coming back in. My temperature has been hovering like this for four or five years now... I mean, she knows my back is shot too, but I'm a smoker, so... whatever. Guess there are plenty of us dealing with the same thing.

But honestly, 100 degrees Fahrenheit feels a bit high to call "normal," even if I don't feel particularly terrible. Then mono hit me out of nowhere, and the fever stayed exactly the same before and after... maybe it's better not to overthink it. Every time I start scrolling through those "medical" websites, I end up finding ten different terrifying diseases that could be it. 😲.

frozenbison122 said:Hey everyone, I need a sanity check. I went to see my doctor because of this constant low-grade fever, and honestly, she seemed pretty stumped at first. She couldn't quite wrap her head around what "constant temperature" even meant. Since my blood work came back totally normal, she basically just told me to accept it—told me this is just my baseline and move on. But then I'm reading online about how people end up seeing specialists like immunologists for the exact same thing. If the basic labs look fine, shouldn't there be more digging to do? I really hope not... anyway, has anyone else dealt with doctors being dismissive like this?

I’ve been down this exact same road. I’ve been dealing with this weird temperature issue for maybe five years now. It started out around 99 degrees, then after my blood work came back clean, my doctor just shrugged and said, "That's normal for you." Then it crept up to 99.5, and now she has the nerve to tell me that 100 can be my "normal" temperature. They never actually find anything. To be fair, all she ever did was run some standard blood panels and an X-ray—since apparently, they think everything revolves around your lungs.🙄
Why did I get banned from the top threads? in Health ·
Rachel Brooks63 said:So, you’ve probably noticed on the other subforums that people are running into those annoying little glitches where certain threads just... vanish. Well, look, I didn't want that happening here too, so I went ahead and unpinned everything—except for the house rules. There are only two posts there, and honestly, even if they disappeared, it wouldn't be the end of the world, though someone would inevitably complain that they didn't see the 😈

I'm banking on the fact that you guys actually remember which threads were the heavy hitters. I'm exhausted and being my usual scatterbrained self, so I unpinned them without actually dropping any links right here. 🤣 🤣 🤣

Dammit...

I think one was "How to quit smoking" or something along those lines, and maybe something about period cramps.
