give me a break
or maybe this
I don't know, honestly, I think early TBF nailed that whole vibe regarding San Francisco and the general state of mind better than anything else. The early Boys are great too, but all this recent stuff just feels... meh.
If he’d actually been offered a fight against Ankalaev, he should have just taken it and called it a day. Look, sometimes you just have to swallow your pride, bite the bullet, and take whatever is being put on the table. Especially since he isn't getting any younger.
It’s honestly such a massive bummer because Jiri vs. Glover would have been an absolute banger. I have to tip my hat to Jiri, though; giving up the belt instead of just sitting on it while dealing with his injury was a class act—definitely reminds me of how Ngannou handled things. Now, we’re stuck with Ankalaev vs. Jan without any real way to avoid it. I totally get where Glover is coming from, too; he wasn't about to just settle for some random replacement.
The waterfront was absolutely packed after we clinched the championship this summer, and then there’s this song playing in the background. Next year, we're going for the title again.

I remember this one afternoon back home while I was making dinner; the sky turned pitch black out of nowhere and this track started playing. Right during the bridge, the heavens just opened up and it started pouring rain, almost like the music itself summoned the storm.
There are definitely those rare moments where the music perfectly hits with the atmosphere around you and just burns itself into your memory.

Spotify threw Microcastle my way—something I’ve listened to plenty of times before—but somehow, everything felt different this time. As I was walking toward the lake, I found myself picturing these intense, cathartic cinematic scenes:
It reminds me of this one time I was sitting on a bus, just traveling somewhere. It was broad daylight, and I was glued to the window with my headphones cranked up, listening to Godspeed You! Black Emperor.
I just sat there staring out at the landscape, and the clouds looked so surreal, like they were part of some heavy psychedelic trip—not the actual trip I was on, but the kind of visual distortion you get after dropping something. Ever since then, I don't mix looking out a window with GY! 😁
