Word is Derrick Rose’s turf toe issue is actually getting worse, per beat reporter K.C. Johnson. Looks like he’s probably sitting out Wednesday's matchup against the Wizards.
Reports say he's rocking a walking boot, and the Bulls are officially labeling him day-to-day—which, let's be real, is basically code for "we have no idea." With Rose sidelined and C.J. Watson out with an elbow injury, the Bulls just picked up vet Mike James to fill the void. This is definitely a headache for fantasy managers, but let's not spiral until we see the actual medical update coming down the pipe.
I’d honestly rather take the Over on Parker at 17.5 instead of Duncan, though I wouldn't say betting both hits is impossible. The only reason is that since Ford is out with that injury, Tony is gonna be grinding for 40+ minutes tonight. Plus, since they're playing back-to-back, Pop is cutting Popovich's minutes down from 25 to maybe 20 given his age. Also, Parker’s defender, Lowry, just got back from injury last night and looked a little sluggish—Kemba and D.J. were slicing right through him. So, I don't see why Parker wouldn't be driving to the hoop and scoring, unlike those two guys last night. ☕
Thorton is out for the Kings tonight, so hitting the under on Evans is looking pretty tough now. Don't think I'll be making any excuses when it happens 🙂
It makes total sense to me why there are more unders than overs. You’ve got two massive factors that can push a player toward an under: foul trouble and injuries—assuming the roster is actually healthy. Personally, when I'm betting on players in the 10-point range, I see about 8 out of 10 as unders. It feels like most people just force the overs because they want to. I think even the sportsbooks are finally catching on, too. They used to just blindly follow the stats, but now they’re actually tracking injuries and matchups to adjust those lines up or down by a few points compared to the average.
I don't think Boza should be starting. There's a real chance we see Wejd get some minutes, especially since the Warriors aren't what they used to be. Back when MJ arrived, they turned into an absolute defensive powerhouse. I honestly have no clue what kind of coaching magic he used to force guys like Courtney Lee and Curry to actually lock in on defense 🤣
Hey everyone, figured I'd jump into the conversation about my absolute favorite sport.
Kenneth Bailey, you hit the nail on the head there. I'm just waiting for official word that Martin is sitting this one out, then I'm heavy on Rockets under 98.5.
Here's what I put down: Evans under 18.5 at 1.85 odds. He was absolutely electric in the last game, dropping 28 points before twisting his ankle late in the first half. They had to drag him off because he couldn't even walk, but the guy gets back out there in the second half and sinks 17 points. These ankle tweaks are tricky, though—they always feel worse once the leg cools down. On the road, Evans averages about 7 points per game lately, so I’m hoping he keeps that trend tonight, especially since they're facing a solid defense. Suns 1 at 1.3 odds Total: 2.4
