I feel like people always obsess over the total yardage leaders, but I've always been more interested in the guys who just seemed to make everything look easy on a per-play basis. Does anyone else value pure impact over the massive career totals?
Seriously, if you’re actually planning on buying a GPU, just go back and read the rules on the first page of this thread... if you even care about that sort of thing
covik should probably just start his own thread... he can post all that stuff over there instead
Fortron 400W paired with an AMD Radeon HD 4830...

plus you still have $100that graduation gift😁 to look forward to if you're actually finishing high school this year
... turns out life moves fast...
What kind of power supply are you running right now?? If it’s just something basic like a 400W from an old Dell or whatever
... then this might actually work.
Honestly, both options are solid... though I've said my piece regarding Betty Rogers2's graphics card—since she actually moved over to start her own thread, given that she was basically using everyone else's threads just to talk about her own rig anyway...

I know—that's exactly why I stopped arguing and just conceded the point to you.

@James Morris4—honestly, I don't think we should just brush off a $30 difference... 🙄

First off, the GTX is definitely more powerful—even if there's some other catch—and secondly, how are you even planning to run a 1920x1200 resolution on his ISO 22 monitor when the max native res is only 1680x1050?

I checked out this and this and this and honestly... I thought the Radeon was stronger, but now I'm starting to realize they were probably just looking at that old 192sp version

As for the resolution thing; my native res on a 17" is 1024x768, but I always set it to 1280x1024, and when I'm gaming, I usually push it to 1600x1024...
plus, you have to consider that the Radeon is much easier on the wallet...
You’re probably going to set your games to 1920x1200 just because the image quality looks sharper at that level... personally, I don't see much point in cranking up the resolution if you aren't actually gaining visible detail—it feels a bit pointless... plus, the NVIDIA GeForce GT 240 is the better move here since it's cheaper, and you'll actually see about a 5% performance edge when running things at 1920x1200 👍
Radeon takes the win here👍 though I’m sure wiredmarlin5 is just going to jump in and insist the GTX is superior...😁

Plus, when it comes to gaming, there's a definite edge there—higher resolutions tend to favor it over GeForce. Basically, if you're running big resolutions, go Radeon; if you're sticking to the smaller stuff, GeForce is your go-to...
Honestly, you might just want to grab a 250 GTS since it comes with a gig of RAM... though, if you're looking at a 22" monitor, the highest resolution you'll really be pushing in most games is 1920x1200

You mean glowing rims?? If you go that route, you’re definitely gonna attract more attention

@Sean Clark2/">@@Sean Clark2 maybe they’ll process some more...😁 btw—since you're working on this stuff anyway, how much have you actually dropped on all those sprays? I could probably just buy an i7 build with that kind of cash😁
