How do you even follow up an album like Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga? They could've just kept that momentum going. They showed they had it with Alright on that DWTN compilation. But instead of making a sequel to Ga^5, they're retreating to their old sound. They're producing it themselves, aiming for that raw vibe rather than something polished, mostly because that's just how they feel. Raw, isolated. I guess 🙂. The album doesn't really have those standout tracks that jump out from the rest like their older stuff might have; it just feels like one big block🙂. Still, my personal favorites are the ones with a bit of light😁: I saw the light and Out of the Woods. Nothing with David Letterman
Maybe something like this😁

A-Trak, A Certain Ratio, Alela Diane, Andrew Bird, Angela Spencer, Aphex Twin, Ariel Pink, Art brut, The Bad Plus, BAT for Lashes, Black Lips, Bloc Party, Bowerbirds, The Bug, Carsick Cars, Crystal Antlers, Crystal Stilts, Cuzo, Chad VanGaalen, Damien Jurado, Dan Deacon Ensemble, Deerhunter, DJ Mehani, The Drones, Ebony Bones, El-P, extra Life, The Extraordinaires, Extraperlo, Fucked Up, Gang Gang Dance, Ghostface Killah, Girl Talk, Girls, Jarvis Cocker, Jason Lytle from Grandaddy, Jay Reatard, The Jayhawks, The Jesus Lizard, Joe Crepúsculo y Los Destructores, Joe Henry, John Maus, Karl Blau, Kimya Dawson, Kitty Daisy & Lewis, Lemonade, Lightning Bolt, The Lions Constellation, The Mae Shi, Magik Markers, Magnolia Electric Co., Mahjongg, Marnie Stern, Michael Mayer, Michael Nyman, My Bloody Valentine, The New Year, Oneida, The Pains of Being Pure at Heart, Phoenix, Plants & Animals, Ponytail, Rosvita, The Secret Society, Shearwater, Shellac, Simian Mobile Disco, skatebård, Sleepy Sun, The Soft Pack, Sonic Youth, Spectrum, Spiritualized, Squarepusher, Sunn O))) performing The Grimmerobe demos, The Tallest Man on Earth, Throwing Muses, Uffie, The Vaselines, Veracruz, Vivian Girls, Wavves, Women, Wooden Shjips, Yo La Tengo, Zombie Zombie

Coachella lineup
I guess I wouldn't, there are just too many people I'd actually want to see

But then again, who else would they bring to the US🙂

I guess I spent a little too much time scrolling through Last.fm earlier...
Maybe Portishead, Feist, Björk, Band of Horses, Bon Iver, TV on the Radio, and maybe even Menomena will be touring around America this June.
I don't know.

It’s not bad, I guess. But if they keep booking bands that people were listening to twenty-five years ago, they might as well just bring out Guns N' Roses to promote Chinese Democracy.😂 Not even the current artists.😢
northerntrucker2 said:Arcade Fire wraps up their tour in Japan in about a month and then they're taking a break, so that's probably a no.
Interpol should have played last year but didn't, and Radiohead is, unfortunately 😢 way out of our league. 😢

Well, you just killed all my hope.🙂

Maybe some VIP will just cough up the cash for Radiohead.🙂
Just bring some acts kids actually like! Because let's be honest, kids love Radiohead, Interpol, and Arcade Fire🙂
Here's the official lineup from last.fm:

The Lineup

Zvonko Bogdan, The Beatles, Arcade Fire, Guns N' Roses, Interpol, The Flaming Lips, Sonic Youth, Elvis Presley, HIM, Lifehouse, Nelly, The Stooges, Spice Girls, Foreigner, !!!, Paris Hilton, Sergei Rachmaninoff, New York Dolls, DJ Boba, Dmitri Shostakovich, David Hasselhoff, Gilles Peterson, Jonny Greenwood, TBF, Gustafi, let štuka, Jacques Houdek, Marko Perković Thompson, Mišo Kovač, Senna m, Slobodan Milošević, Sandra Dabo, Fraktura mozg, Redneq Derneq, The Jarneys, Alpina, Dizzee Rascal, trešnjevaćki mališan, Kićčo "Jaki" Slabinac & The Ramirez, Mislav Bago and The Mislav Bago Lookalikes, Saddam Hussein and Ali Kvaida band

🤣 🤣
It’s not like I have anything against the headliners, but if they keep booking people like this, we won't see a major festival like Coachella hit the US until 2035.🙄
I don't know which of these artists is actually going to pull in the teens; Central Park might end up empty.
though I guess this is better than having Central Park packed with kids who only showed up for Linkin Park and Good Charlotte.
John Doe mentioned that they haven't even announced the actual headliners yet.

If any of the bands currently on tour actually show up—like Interpol, Arcade Fire, or The White Stripes—that would be something. 🙂 🙂 🙂

Drop your favorite tracks here, but there's one catch: they have to be longer than 10 minutes.

The first ones that come to mind for me are:
Pink Floyd - Wish You Were Here (13 min)
The Allman Brothers Band - You Don't Love Me (19 min)👍
Deep Purple - Child in Time - Iron Maiden (10+)
The Doors - The End (11+)
And obviously The Velvet Underground - Sister Ray (17+), though I've got versions that run 24, 28, or even 38 minutes.🙏
