Hymenotomy procedure in Women's Health ·
Hello, everyone. I have an issue here that might sound ridiculous to some of you, but it’s been causing quite a bit of stress for both me and my boyfriend...
To give you some context, I had a specific hymen shape that made intercourse impossible, so I underwent a surgical excision a month ago at a private clinic. The surgeon informed me that it was a somewhat "complex" procedure due to the thickness of the tissue, noting that there might be prolonged bleeding during the healing process. Since then, I’ve had a follow-up exam where everything supposedly healed perfectly and looked normal. However, my boyfriend and I have attempted intercourse twice now, and he is having extreme difficulty with penetration—it's almost as if it isn't possible. He claims I am far too tight, noting that even a finger barely fits (which we have confirmed ourselves). Furthermore, when he does manage to enter slightly, the pain is absolutely excruciating.
I find this whole situation confusing. If the area has healed and the hymen is gone, these kinds of complications shouldn't be happening, right? I am looking for advice or insight from anyone who might have dealt with something similar, because I am genuinely at a loss as to what is going on.😕
