Take a look at figure 6; there was really no need for such an elaborate display...
Though, I suppose we were short about 30% on attendance if we wanted everyone in the stands holding a flag...

I won't go so far as to praise my own group, as actions tend to speak louder than words, but I will say this: this was an old concept that the younger generations managed to pull off—and certainly more effectively than we ever could have ten years ago. Anyone paying close attention can see how much metaphor is woven into the presentation: from the ocean imagery on the fence, to the galleys sailing despite the headwinds (those poor results), all set against a backdrop of sea and sky rendered through blue, light blue, and white flags, punctuated by lightning-like strobes and blue smoke clouds. The message is quite clear...
Putting on a show like that in just a few minutes comes at a cost: lost time, immense effort, and not to mention the money. Let it be known that some people have been sidelined because of the pyrotechnics, and one person nearly lost their fingers while trying to secure the stakes. It’s worth noting...

Can I join in on this discussion? 😍

First, my position is that Cleveland should have absolutely crushed Indianapolis and deservedly celebrated the championship after such a grueling season. That wasn't the case, and frankly, I hold the players accountable for folding under pressure and blowing it right at the finish line. Furthermore, the club's performance actually exceeded what management expected—management which, much like today, seems to prefer wandering aimlessly and improvising...

Second, regardless of what I just mentioned, Cleveland had a perfectly legitimate goal disallowed. Mathematically speaking, it doesn't matter how we played that day; if it had been 2:1, we would have an extra trophy sitting in our display case right now. Certain circles clearly had their "insurance" placed within the officiating crew, while simultaneously nudging the Indianapolis players along. I'm not even certain if every player on the Cleveland roster was truly willing to win...

Third, I initially thought there should have been some sort of incident, but why should the storefronts, cars, or other property in our city take the blame? There was no one to lynch; John Smith and Robert Jones were safely tucked away, the police remained restrained, and the Wildcats weren't even present, as per usual. Take that into account. It was the complete opposite of the 1994 Cup final, where a massive brawl erupted with the police at the end of the game, leaving people beaten and injured on both sides...

Židak, discussing that Super Bowl XXXIII matchup among other things

Anthony Fox5 said:Nice pyrotechnics... though even that two-pole flag—the one basically saying "mom, stop worrying"—is just one of those details that proves why the Navy will always be a step above everyone else, second only to the Rangers and the Bad Boys.

Ultimately, everything comes down to sheer numbers. It's been proven that smaller groups can actually outperform larger ones, but only if they stay authentic and stay organized. At the end of the day, you can achieve much more significant things if you have mass behind you. A crowd of 100 versus a crowd of 500 isn't the same thing; it's not the same impact when three different squads roll into town versus just one, or when an away game brings a single bus instead of ten. Not to mention how much tradition and trophy counts play into the whole dynamic...

For what it's worth, that punk band from San Antonio had a pretty solid hit once... you know where punk gets its roots🙂
