So, I decided to try my hand at building a custom case panel—though, knowing my luck, I usually find a way to mess things up—and I used a grinder to cut out the opening in the metal and some acrylic. I drilled a hole for a 120mm fan and tried to seal the panel using silicone since I didn't have any rivets on hand. Well, because my measurements were a little off, the acrylic ended up being too large—I can barely squeeze it into place! Now that I’ve jammed it in there, I can't get it back out, and when I tried to unglue the acrylic, it actually cracked right where I cut the fan hole. To make matters worse, I'm fresh out of silicone and don't own a rivet gun, so now I'm stuck waiting until I can pick up more supplies. I'll post some photos once I get everything sorted out a bit later.

I used to run some ThermalTake gear, and honestly, they were much noisier than these...😁
As far as Corsair goes, I haven't really had the chance to test their stuff yet...
What’s the noise level like, and how is the airflow??
I think I’ll go with this second one—it offers better airflow and hits about 2000rpm compared to this one at 1300rpm. Sorry, I just realized—otherwise, I wouldn't have even asked!
The acrylic was a solid half-inch thick—so, yeah—I tried to drill some holes through it, but... well, let's just say things didn't go quite as planned! I'm heading out to pick up a replacement now, haha

Yes, I am—I'm thinking about drilling some holes to mount LED fans, though I haven't quite decided between 80mm or 120mm yet (any recommendations there?) Since my workspace is roughly 18 by 16 inches, I’ll probably cut out a section about 14 by 12 inches and then fit a piece of plexiglass roughly 16 by 14 inches over it.
On which side should I place the plexiglass if I'm building a transparent panel—should it go on the outside or tucked in the middle? It might sound like a bit of a silly question—I know, I know—but honestly, what else can I really ask?
What do you all think—would it actually be worth my while to cut out a section of the top panel to make room for the vent fans? I'm torn between just cutting through that black shroud or perhaps installing some plexiglass instead... what's your take?😕😕 )?? I simply cannot get over this image—it’s absolutely striking! Looking at this setup really gets my gears turning—though, perhaps, a bit too much—about the sheer level of detail involved in high-end PC modding. It is quite a sight to behold, isn't it? One can only imagine the hours of meticulous labor poured into such a project—truly, a masterclass in craftsmanship! I’ve been staring at this photo for quite a while now—honestly, maybe a bit too long—and I just can't get over the sheer scale of it! It is absolutely massive! Looking at the way everything is laid out, you really get a sense of the ambition involved here—though, I must admit, my own DIY skills are nowhere near this level of precision. I'd probably end up with a pile of spare screws and a very frustrated expression on my face! Still, it's truly impressive to see such a dedicated setup. What do you all think? Is it overkill, or just right?
Does anyone happen to know where I could pick up something like this for my fans in Chicago? http://www.vsc-trgovina.com/slike/ve...i-300041_1.jpg or maybe http://pc.enakupi.com/slike/t/351/t_16519.jpg

Regarding the workspace setup, a monitor sitting right next to a speaker?!!? Hmm... I'm not entirely sure if that's bad for an LCD, but for a CRT monitor, it is absolutely a disaster.
I know, I know—it's a work in progress! Once the holidays roll around, I'm planning to install a transparent side panel and finally get all these cables organized—plus, I want to add some plexiglass to the top (or maybe the side) along with a new fan, because things are getting a little too hot in there at the moment.😛😛 😠 😠 Wait, why wouldn't you put a speaker next to a monitor?? Is it because of the magnets??
What are your thoughts on this? http://img299.imageshack.us/my.php?i...sc00201re8.jpg http://img207.imageshack.us/my.php?i...sc00270ej2.jpg I'm still waiting on a clear side panel to arrive—just a few more bucks to go—and once I finish tidying up the cable management, I'll be sure to post some final shots (once everything is actually finished!)
I honestly don't see where you guys are coming from—you can keep all those fans! Personally, when I start feeling the chill, my solution is much more direct: underfloor heating on a mesh substrate, 2.2 mm diameter, perfect for retrofitting into both new builds and existing homes, with a power output of 135 W / m2 heating area 1 m2 = $390, $0.00 heating area 2 m2 = $590, $0.00 heating area 3 m2 = $790, $0.00 SKU 107859 - 13472831 Price: starting at $390
Maybe I should just throw in a radiator too
