Well, if you all want to take it that way, then fine, have it your way.
And look, I wasn't actually trying to start some whole new debate or anything, I was just genuinely attempting to clarify a few things here.
But since we’re talking about a fast that lasts forty days where people are still eating and drinking specific types of food throughout the day and night, I don't really feel like calling that a true fast in the traditional sense.
But hey, whatever you guys say, I guess.
It honestly feels like a bit of a lost cause trying to explain myself when it seems like nobody even bothered to click the link I shared to actually read up and get informed.
Plus, there's that strict command from God... saying we should eat and drink, but just don't overdo it, because truly, Allah does not love those who are excessive. There's also that recommendation from the Prophet about filling your stomach only one-third with food, leaving two-thirds empty. If that still feels like too much for you, then maybe try one-third food, one-third water, and leave the last third for air.
So, there's my little take on overindulging!

it isn't about whether you find it difficult or not
you totally missed the point
Well, I don't think I missed the point at all, because it seems like everyone keeps saying that fasting is just the same thing as not eating during the day, which isn't true!
And, well, besides that, the whole idea isn't meant to be about suffering; honestly, it's actually not that hard for me, especially since I find it way more difficult to just sit around at home staring at the clock than when I'm actually staying busy with stuff.
The real essence of fasting is that it's medically justified, and I really believe it helps build up your character too.
Anyway, if we aren't going to get sidetracked from discussing who is actually interested in learning more about the Ramadan fast, you can check out this link:
Ramadan Fasting

I guess I’m pretty much in the same boat, honestly... outside of Ramadan, I don't really eat much at all during the day, if that makes sense. I mean, I'm not saying I'm starving or anything, but my appetite just isn't really there most of the time, I suppose.
I mean, honestly, even if I only manage to grab a tiny little bite to eat or just sit down for a quick cup of coffee, it really does make such a massive difference, I guess. It’s funny how much that small bit of routine can change everything, you know?
I mean, honestly, you should all just try keeping up with this kind of pace for a single day—just one day!—and then we can see if things still feel exactly the same, I guess. Maybe you'll realize how much everything actually changes when you're moving at this speed.
😁
So, basically, I get up at like 4:30 in the morning and have my meal, grab some coffee and juice, and then from there until about 6:35 PM—which is when the sun finally sets—I don't eat anything at all, and I don't drink anything either... oh, and no smoking, either.
I mean, I guess if you actually want to have enough energy to make it through the day, especially if you're doing manual labor or just staying active, it’s pretty much a given that you need to eat a really solid, substantial meal first!
well
you guys asked for it, so here it is 🥳

so I don't really know about that specific post you mentioned, but I can tell you how it works for me:
I am a Muslim and I fast for thirty days during the month of Ramadan.
Basically, during this whole period, I don't eat, drink, or smoke from about 5:00 in the morning until 6:40 in the evening.
I guess you feel a little bit drained afterward, though it isn't exactly hunger, it’s more like this unusual sensation—maybe light, or exhausted, or just relaxed... I'm not entirely sure how I would define it, really.
On the flip side, you end up eating very regularly during the permitted hours, and since there's an effort to eat higher-quality food, some people might even put on a little weight.
If anyone has the guts, maybe give it a shot!
I didn't actually make it to my workout sessions, but instead...
Whenever I’d finally lay down to get some sleep, I would find myself having to tightly close my mouth and focus entirely on breathing through my nose for a few seconds, and then I’d have to switch back to my mouth because, honestly, I had this terrifying sensation like I was actually going to suffocate.
That went on for quite a while, I guess, until eventually, it just sort of resolved itself, and now breathing through my nose isn't even an issue anymore, even when I'm dealing with a nasty head cold.
I guess I actually dealt with the exact same thing, though my struggle was more about training myself to finally breathe through my nose instead of my mouth.
It was such a massive, tedious hassle to get used to, but looking back, it was totally worth the effort.
Before I finally made that switch, I was constantly dealing with these nagging sore throats that always seemed to come with a fever, and honestly, I usually had to rely on getting shots just to get the temperature down.
Now, I find myself wondering if I should even bother trying to prevent those bouts of inflammation and fever throughout the year, since most of the time, the fever just seems to vanish overnight anyway.
I can't really speak from my own experience because they did that to me when I was just an infant, so I don't have any actual memories of it.
My son went through it too, and he was only about two months old at the time; everything seemed perfectly fine after a couple of days, and his pediatrician ended up removing the stitches after about a week.
Though, I guess in a lot of cases, they don't even bother with stitches at all, since the material usually just dissolves on its own after maybe fifteen days or so.
