Wow, what am I supposed to do? Not sleep tonight just because you gave me a warning? If you think my reply makes zero sense, then just delete it. That’s literally what moderators are here for—if you want to play the "warning" game, go try it on a toddler.

Henry Stewart2 said:Just like your posts on this thread—especially that one where you claim you don't even need an Intel card, just a buddy who owns one!

Look, if you can't wrap your head around certain things, that's on you. To put it in math terms: having an Intel card is sufficient but not strictly necessary to use MB, since there are other ways to handle it besides using a card or a bank transfer.

Henry Stewart2 said:As soon as they announced that tax on betting (including online stuff), they couldn't actually pull anything off, which means they don't have any legal ground to stand on. Online sportsbooks already pay their taxes, so making players pay too would just be double taxation. Not to mention, online betting would basically die if they taxed it directly—if you're looking at a 30% tax, you're effectively getting 30% worse odds.

What you just wrote is complete nonsense!

Henry Stewart2 said:Don't sweat the taxes; the IRS isn't going to kick down your door or send you a subpoena. Online business runs on international and global standards, not some local political monopoly rules. You just pay what you spend, without all the extra taxes, surcharges, fees, and shady costs. And those local politicians can't touch them legally anyway...

Same goes for this!!

It goes totally against European Union free market principles, so there's no way this holds up.

Look, the bottom line is the government wants a monopoly on gambling because they see massive amounts of cash flowing through it, or they just want to slap on some heavy taxes.

I don't care if it flies in the face of European Union principles—the law passed and it's active. Just like here in the US. Whether it clashes with international agreements or even the Constitution is secondary at this point.

Happy New Year, America! It looks like it's time to say goodbye to online poker. As we head into 2008, the US is facing a massive crackdown on online gambling. Every single state gave the green light to this new legislation back in mid-December.

Here's the breakdown of what this new law actually does:

Legal Provision

State Governments are now empowered to pressure internet service providers to block gambling sites entirely, cutting off both web access and any money transfers to those platforms.

A lot of people think this is just a setup for the federal government to grab a monopoly on the whole industry. By kicking out all the international players offering poker, blackjack, and roulette, they're basically rolling out the red carpet for the government to run its own services and pocket all that cash.

The big online gambling players in Europe aren't just going to sit there and take it, either. DraftKings has already announced they're heading to court to fight this. Their founder, Jens Schumann, didn't mince words, stating, “The action taken by the states in this case is another example of how politics interferes in the market economy in a biased manner under the guise of maintaining order. Successful companies in the sphere of state lotteries are to be eliminated through the argument that this will protect the population from gambling addiction. Everyday you can see how seriously the state is really taking the issue by looking at betting outlets, casinos and amusement arcades, which continue to face no advertising restrictions.”

According to an article in The Wall Street Journal, some legal experts in the US are predicting a massive wave of lawsuits, with potentially 3,000 different betting companies challenging the law.

Back in October, DraftKings kicked things off by filing an International Legal Dispute against four states, so the legal battle is already heating up. Given that there was already an International Trade Dispute regarding the United States’ violation of World Trade Organization agreements, it'll be fascinating to see how the rest of the world reacts to this sudden push against free trade.

What kind of account am I supposed to open at the bank to get that "bank transfer" withdrawal option?

Believe it or not, even the most basic checking account will do the trick. Checking my checking account. ☕

briskjackal5 said:Winning at the casino? You don't owe a dime in taxes on that.

The only ones putting up any kind of fight against it are the Frenchmen, and... Those Germans!!!!

If you win on American soil, you don't owe any taxes. As for playing games from outside the country? Technically, that's off-limits.

Arthur Ramirez12 said:But how am I supposed to do that without a Visa??

Look, a buddy could just send you cash from his PayPal account and you can go wild in person. Or, you could find someone online to swap some USD into your bank account in exchange for Euros on PayPal.

To use PayPal, you first need to head to your bank and set up a checking account linked to a Chase Visa debit card.

Not necessarily!!! You can totally do it without a Visa!

rapidviper54 said:JPMorgan Chase says it’s a foreign currency checking account—in my book, that’s basically just a standard checking account, right? 🤷

Look, I’ve got zero clue about how banking works, but I don't get why people think "checking account" means the same thing as "savings."

Just open a PayPal account and you can play wherever you want without those annoying wait times!

I honestly think it’s not just shady, it’s straight-up illegal! As for getting paid, it's smooth sailing as long as the cash hits my checking account!

Alright! So, here’s how the math breaks down based on these assumptions:
Total picks: 150
Average odds: 2.25
Expected yield: 30%
Let's assume we're placing flat bets on every single one (which isn't necessarily the smartest way to play, just so we're clear)
--
Winning picks: 87 (58%)
Your total profit: $4,350
Minimum stake needed to break even (0% yield): $95
Player yield at 2x minimum stake: +15.3%
Player yield at 3x minimum stake: +20.3%
Player yield at 4x minimum stake: +22.9%
Player yield at 10x minimum stake: +27.5%
--
Look, nobody is immune to variance—it's just part of the game—so you've gotta account for the risk of going bust. If you're only betting 1% of your bankroll per pick, the risk is basically nothing. But since you've laid out a pretty solid yield here (and if I can be honest, hitting 30% consistently over the long haul is a massive mountain to climb), let's say the risk is negligible if you bet 2% of your bankroll per pick:
Bankroll needed for a 15% yield: $9,500 (stake $190)
End-of-season profit: $4,350
Bankroll needed for a 20% yield: $12,250 (stake $285)
End-of-season profit: $8,600

Keep in mind, the lower the average odds (right now they're 1.95, but we're assuming 2.25), the more money you make and the less your clients make. Also, you'll end up hitting a higher percentage of picks that fall below the average, which means the actual profit will likely be lower than what I calculated here.

Bottom line: this could be a win for someone sitting on an extra $50,000 who honestly doesn't have a better way to put that cash to work than betting it.

You answered 1 question, just 2 left! What kind of Return or ROI are you aiming for, and how many bets do you plan on placing in a single season? Also, what kind of staking system do you think works best for your picks?

Btw, I’m not looking to be a customer or try to rip off your business model, I'm just genuinely curious!

A "pro"? LOL! Any actual pro would bail the second they saw your first pick. An away win at 1.80? And you want me to shell out $50 for that?! That's insane!

Which betting shop are you pulling these odds from? What kind of Return (or ROI, whatever) are you actually aiming for? And what's your strategy for unit sizing on the parlays you're picking?

Btw, I used to call picks for a site back in the day that charged for access. We were way cheaper than you, too. After a full season and 211 picks, I walked away with a Return of +10.78% with an average odd of 2.23!
