edit: since I'm clearly a total newbie here asking this too ... what's actually the difference between a Maestro card and a Mastercard? Doesn't Mastercard issue Maestro too ... is that why it won't work for online payments?
I don't see what's so complicated. I do everything from home. I use Chase online banking—you just move money from your checking to your foreign currency account, then you can send it straight to a sportsbook, poker site, or a casino, whatever. To open a foreign currency account at Chase, you just stop by a branch, and you get the card in a few days... plus, the perks of online betting are huge.
Either I use Chase, or I still use PayPal because some poker sites don't allow direct card withdrawals. You go through there, and then you can move it wherever you want, send cash to someone's account, withdraw it, deposit it into a bookie, or buy stuff online. It's basically just an online wallet...
anyway, who actually wants to stand in lines???? 😁
