I’m really hoping Charl Schwartzel can pull this off and just bury the competition; there are way too many players sitting right there within two or three strokes of him. It's going to be absolute chaos when the pressure hits...☕
I’m just talking to myself here, so whatever, I don't really care what anyone thinks.
The weather is absolutely perfect right now. Tiger Woods should be stepping onto the tee in about fifteen minutes, and we're looking at a fantastic evening of PGA Tour action ahead...
Phil Mickelson is holding onto the lead for now, though several players are breathing down his neck. Generally speaking, the scores have been pretty lackluster so far, mostly due to those miserable weather conditions we've been dealing with. The course finally dried out this afternoon, so things should be looking perfect for play tomorrow. We’re also hoping to see Adam Scott climb a bit higher up the leaderboard ☕
The US Open is officially underway, but we’ve been hit with some absolutely miserable weather right out of the gate. It's completely messing with the tournament schedule and the flow of play, which is infuriating... though I suppose we can only hope things clear up soon so we can actually see some decent golf
slybadger3 said:Just ask Tiger Woods who the biggest crybaby in the world was during the most mind-numbing sport to ever hit television. He barely made anything from the actual game itself; everything else was just pure sponsor money...
You might want to watch your mouth when calling it "the most boring sport in the world"... 😉
Sean Peterson76 said:Oh, they definitely do. But honestly, half the people avoid watching on the local networks because the commentary is just absolutely soul-crushing... it ruins the whole experience.
There are plenty of us who just stick to Sky Sports instead...
Is anyone actually following the first major of the season, The Masters? Or am I just shouting into the void here?
Right now, Miguel Cabrera and Studs Snedeker are sitting pretty at 7 under par heading into the final round, while everyone is keeping a nervous eye on an aggressive Tiger Woods, who’s trailing by four strokes. Yesterday was a total rollercoaster. Jason Day had it in his grasp—he was leading the pack all day long—but he completely fell apart during the closing stretch. He held steady at -7 until those last two holes, where he absolutely choked it away with two bogeys...
I can only hope there are still some actual fans of this great game left on this forum...
David Ramos said:Honestly, what a fantastic film. It really hit all the right notes... The acting might just be the best part... Jake Gyllenhaal and Michael Peña are just so incredibly convincing; they pulled me right into the movie from the very first scene...
They spent a few months roaming around Los Angeles with actual police patrols just to embed themselves in the narrative. They even stumbled right into a gang shootout once, witnessing wounded officers and all that chaos firsthand... In any case, you could really see the effort they put into the screen work...
In my personal opinion, this stands as the absolute best cop movie released in the last few years...
